Hi Guys,

Has anyone managed to get Falcon v26 to work in Crossover 25.1.1

It starts up fine but the GUI is missing. I tried all the various graphics options but nothing worked.

I know they updated the graphics engine in 26

 

There is not much more to say about this without knowing what model Mac, and what GPU is in it.

Falcon 2026 runs perfectly on my Mac Pro with a barely passing Metal Compliant GPU in it. But that is not with R2R's release of it or with Crossover. I honestly do not see R2R's work on their release being the cause of a graphics related problem because they may not even touch that.

This could be an issue such as the blurry GUI in unauthorized UAD plugins, I guess. But it is likely a setting in Crossover, a runtime, or some of the new things they are doing with their Network Block software. That would likely need to be installed into the Crossover bottle along with Falcon.

 

I have the same problem on intel and on m2 mac .I have the same problem with Pianoteque.I have installed Network block software .I hope someone points us to the right direction

 

Does it kinda of show up, plays ok, but starts flickering and interface is mostly black?

Good news and bad news. Easy to fix.
It's not graphics card or R2R release related. They added a simple new mechanism to the protection, apparently.

If you are having the same thing happen with other software you are running in Crossover, have you tried it in Whisky on your Apple Silicon Mac?
See if you can get Falcon working that way on your ARM Mac.
