    Mr. Winter was very influential in keeping interest in blues in the U.S. alive when it was already getting it's due and revival in British rock guitar history.     Really??? I can't find anything (at this moment) about his passing but if it's true...

    Saw him play at a smaller club in Kansas City back in the late 80's. It was an incredible show. Rock on Johnny!
