Duality Strings Complete is a stratospheric achievement. And together with the others big libraries, we're already at a good point. However, I don't think we'll see the entire VSL catalog shared, the Full Pokedex imo

Sorry to disappoint you but Synchron Duality String Complete is NOT an achievement at all since theirs TRIALS are free to download. Same goes for the recently TRIAL-able Synchron Elite Strings.
    R2R's nfo stated:
    • All those FREE ones and TRIAL-able ones will be released (by R2R).
    • You should buy and share the products that does not have TRIAL.
    • You should buy other Orchestral libraries until the "Pokedex" is filled.

Until yesterday, however, they weren't. And in any case, Duality Strings Regular and Virtuoso weren't trial-able when they were shared. So, anyway, it was a super achievement to have them with us IMO. If tomorrow the entire VSL catalog became trial-able, it would be an extraordinary feat, since the move was forced by our community's sharing. So, in my opinion, we've made a great journey so far

Judging by this, more than half of their product range is free, because they sometimes open a trial for many things, and if the cracked Synchron Pianos Player were available now, would the Synchron Pianos Bundle that followed it be free, too?
How difficult it is to understand that periodically, if you follow this, then you can take their entire range assortment for free

Calm down; I didn't know they periodically open a trial for a product (and then close it after a while?). As far as I know, this strange marketing policy is very unique.
Logic would dictate that once their Synchron Player had been cracked (and content protection bypassed by the "magic" R2R's files) they would withdraw all trial versions rather than adding the complete Duality range - plus the Sychron Elite Strings.
Germanics never cease to amaze me...

The only question is, why write if you don't know? This is not the first time I've written about this, but there are still no fewer such geniuses. Before writing something, let's think with our heads, be guided by facts, not prejudices. Otherwise, you can just misinform people, is it worth it?

Austrians actually - but yes: Why on earth they did stick to that certainly way before fixed trial strategy plan goes beyond my imagination.
    But, well so be it.

As far as my needs go - I am saturated with strings until the end of my life. Two pianos, maybe a brass element over time. Thats it for me. Already also deleted various parts, as they were sometimes way to special for my use case or simply not that good. Particularly the solo libraries kind if dissappointed me a lot.

And the reverb vst, I would love to test :)

Anyway - a pleasure to have tested it all.

Call me a "genius" if you want, but what I've done is reasoning logically. And the VSL trial policy you described seems totally illogical to me (read again my previous comment - many times if necessary - until perfect comprehension). I know it can be hard for normal people, but for genius like you, it will be easy.
    Thank you.

Austrians are not Germans but, as I said, they are Germanics.

You put the words R2R above common sense, you can rely on them if you want, but in fact the context here is: "If you want other VSL software to come out faster, start buying their products when we have all the libraries available, then we will release the rest of the software"
It's a byte to buy, but you didn't understand it.
In fact, if you take everything they give in the trial, the result will be the same, but we will take longer to fill the "Pokedex" collection.
From the outside, it looks like you're trying to prove something to me like a naive child.
And the most important thing is that there is no visible action on your part, everyone can talk, but who is ready to help in any way?
So you're not helping here, and the big question is, do you have the right to criticize anyone who's trying to do anything? And you have to answer this question yourself.)

We all very thankfull for all your efforts.
There will always be someone who doesn't understand the software and just go with the herd. Just forget about it.
    Doesn't matter what VSL does.
    Let's keep going.

I know I'm OT but I wanted to say to people that are waiting for synchron pianos that VI Labs Modern D 1.1 is an AMAZING piano library and already available. Many, including people who own synchron pianos consider it the best sampled piano on the market. I don't know if that's true but for the first time ever I was really amazed for the sound and playability of a sampled piano from low to high notes. It's really awesome

Everyone has different preferences here, so I tried it. After Synchron Pianos, it doesn't sound so convincing + there aren't many microphones, I think Synchron Pianos has a reference mixer, it's just worth understanding how much the sound of the instrument changes due to the control of width/phase, delay for each microphone. In terms of functionality, Modern D is like an old Garritan CFX for me. To be honest, I expected more, especially since it is implemented in Falcon.

Unfortunately, I haven't tried the synchron pianos so I can't compare the two but for me Modern D has a beautiful sound (I don't do classical so this could be just a preference). Soundstage is not huge but with the right verb, if needed, I don't feel it's lacking in anything really. Personally the lack of sympathetic resonance in synchron pianos could be something that could piss me off but there should be workarounds for that. Thanks for your generosity it_used, much appreciated is an understatement!

What a wonderful community we have! And with all this beautiful sharing, if R2R keeps their promise, they'll be releasing a lot of iLok toys in the coming days. At least I hope so

What's wrong with Seventh Heaven Pro? I've been using it for a couple years, and I don't recall any problems.

VSL sounds incredible, has more mics than most libraries out there, and --this is the killer point for me-- they almost always have a ton more articulations than their competitors. And they're done extremely well.

Plus --and this is huge-- their Synchron player is just AMAZING. On my machine, it loads in about 1.5 seconds, while Kontakt takes about 14 seconds. And loading libraries in Synchron takes a couple seconds, while in Kontakt it can take 20-40 seconds. This is an absolute workflow killer. Furthermore, Synchron's interface is logical, beautiful, perfectly laid out and extremely legible, while Kontakt's is a bloody mess (two entirely different interfaces depending on whether library developers paid NI for access to the good one), has 25 years of technical debt, and is so primitive that most of its fonts are 8-bit pixel fonts that can't be resized. I could go on and on, but Kontakt sucks in every possible way, except for the number of 3rd-party libraries it has, which is just massive.
