Since i cant find a topic about that yet, let me create one.

I did read the Manual for the VSLEMU, but im still not sure, how to install the libraries.

I installed the player, the EMU, both seem to work fine, some Magic files i also put into the right folder according to the Manual, now the Library i moved to an external SSD, but somehow im getting errors, that it cant find the "sound data".
I sat the library folder in the settings of the player.

    Any ideas?

    this is the error message:

and here are the library page from the settings:

yeah i just clicked on it, says 0 things (both) cached.

    I am doing something wrong.

EDIT Wrong folder: looks like program data \neq program files.

now the Cache builder shows 7 magic player files.

You have to load from the Preset tab, not Patch.

Is the player you're using the one that has a shortcut appear on the desktop after installation?

i dont use the desktop, all icons are hidden there.

i think i will use FLOW ... easier to load something from there as to cryptically look through patches/presets.

There's the desktop one, but I found the libraries only appeared for me in the VST3 versions (I only installed that one).

But it seems there are separate "players" for different instruments as well, like Piano, Harp, etc, that we haven't seen and seems we are likely not going to see unless someone supplies them? From what I gather the piano & harp libraries are not playable by the current R2R player for the orchestral stuff?? There really hasn't been anything VSL released yet anyway that will steer me away from Spitfire libraries. So I guess I just wait and see what shows up...

    ???
you know that the standalone and the VST3 are the same?

There is a piano player (for the piano stuff), synchron player (stereo and surrond -- compare VSLemu manual)
so basically 2 with one having 2 variations.

Still looking for the "PianoCore Volume (Synchron Piano Player Only)" which does not exist anywhere I have looked...:dunno:

VSL Synchron pianos dont exist either - only requests.

That's what I thought but the libraries don't appear in my standalone, only in the VST3 :dunno:

i set them up in the Standalone and they appear in VST2 just fine.

What you are saying seems impossible, since the Emu finds the Magic files, you add the Library files and then it should be ready to go i think ...
    Well.
As long as it works in the End for you ...all good?

As you can see it's not impossible. The standalone is on the left and the VST3 (via Savihost) is on the right.

As you say, it works in the end, but it would be nice to know why this is happening if only to satisfy my curiosity!

savihost uses very limited resources, so it could be it doesnt save any settings you do.

I set up Library in SAL and eveything showed up without doing anything in the VST2 version for me.

Same, personally I move the libraries to the original /Users/PublicDocuments/VSL file
