Hi there, bit new to all this but I’ve just downloaded Kontakt 8 Bobdule from plugintorrent.com as the one from his site requires a password to unpack the files.
The problem is when I scan the patcher with virus total everything is pretty much red and full of malware.
Is this normal?

 

The one from his site, the password is "bob"
Or download from sister site. As regard the patcher, even if you download from his site, it may show false positve. It's perfectly ok if you download from sister site or his site

I've usually got no problems with one or two, but this many makes me nervous haa.
I'm just a bit worried as it's a brand new build. Kontakt is the only moody software I use.

 

Well, most of them seem to recognize it properly as patcher/keygen. I've been using bobdule releases for years and never had issue with them. And bobdule releases are pretty popular so if they're problematic such as malware invected, there would likely have been outrage on the sister site.

There's no way Mr. Dule is slipping viruses/malware to his files. If he did there would be much more than this thread documenting it. TO eliminate the worry just grab it from from Bobby's site directly. You'll have to find it on your own as there is no direct referencing of warez allowed on this forum.

 

I always grab his patches from his own website or from sister site. Never had issues, only a false positive with the MaxMSP patcher. His patches are my favorite Kontakt/Max releases.

 

Hi Kontakt fans, I installed bob's K8 (Full 8.7.2), it opens and runs OK and plays the factory libraries it installed (only two), but when I try to add my existing Library collection using File->Options a small window opens with a Launch Library Tool button present. Clicking on this shows the error: "Kontakt Button missing"...tried restarting, then reinstalling and repatching and copying the new .xml file, and turning off any AVs I have running (Windows Security and Malwarebytes) but this error persists so I can't add Libraries. Anyone experience similar behavior with K8 Full 8.7.2 and found a fix?

kontakt button .exe should be in there..try if you can launch it from there.

You can also try in kontakt: File,options,Libraries,Launch Library Tool
