    The truth is more like this: User @JohnnyBoy023 failed due to Falcon's excessively high requirements. Why did they struggle with it for five years before finally selling it? Unfortunately, many users simply refuse to admit their limitations and instead resort to insults, blaming UVI. And nonsense like "Omnsiphere is better than..." blah blah...!

    100%

    Everything has a learning curve and the limitations everyone experiences are based on their willingness to learn and push past them. Falcon isn't any more or any less difficult than other synths, it just takes time to adjust to the workflow. It even has templates built in for creating patches... if you want to design a lead, bass tone, pad, etc... there are templates built in just for that to get you started quickly.

    Most producers just want a rompler with a bunch of presets that they can tweak and customize. There's nothing wrong with that and you can definitely do that easily in Falcon. But that's really surface level... Falcon is SOOOO much deeper than that. Slagging off any developer or vst because you perceive it as cumbersome is really at your loss. There's a lot of buried treasure in Falcon, Omnisphere, Nexus, etc... it just depends on how deep you're willing to dig.

    ohh yeah that -- well if i can choose any plugin out there, neither omni nor falcon win.

    There is still so many other plugins, which are for me better to design in.

    But i hear Falcon 26, has a simplified workflow compared to the older versions we had/have?

    I couldn't agree more!

    I've created two free sound sets. It's an instrument, and like any instrument, such as a guitar, you have to learn it, otherwise you won't get a usable sound out of it. That's the whole point. All beginnings are difficult; you have to find your way around, sometimes even looking things up in the PDF. Anyone who gives up quickly has already lost.

    This is an old guide I wrote once, maybe it will help you (I have a purchased version).

    Installation instruction for the UVI - Falcon v2.5.3 VSTi

    Each sound bank that you download consists of a license: (*. R2RUVI) and a sound bank (*.ufs)

    STEP 1
    1.) There is only one folder for the licenses, only the registrations should be in here.
    2.) The folder is called: C:\ProgramData\UVI\R2R
    3.) Copy all of your licenses in this folder.

    STEP 2
    1.) Create a folder with the name "Falcon" for example.
    2.) Now copy all "UVI Falcon SoundBanks" with the ending (* .ufs) in your new folder
    3.) Open Falcon in your DAW
    4.) Click on the tool wrench
    5.) Scroll down to " Preferences "
    6.) A new window opens and select "Soundbanks"
    7.) Add the new Soundbanks path, Falcon folder, where your expansions are in.

    =================================================================================
    Installation instruction for the UVI - Falcon v2.5.3 VSTi / Emulator / Factory / Expansions

    3.) Inside the Folder is the " 00000E10F2DD0E11.R2RUVI "
    4.) Copy the " 00000E10F2DD0E11.R2RUVI " into " C:\ProgramData\UVI\R2R "

    UVI Emulator

    Factory
    1.) Download and unrar the " UVI.Falcon.Factory.Library.v2.5.1-R2R "
    2.) Create a folder with the name " Falcon " and copy it to where you have space. (Preferably SSD)
    3.) Copy the File " Falcon Factory.ufs " into the new " Falcon " Folder
    2.) Inside the Folder is the " 00000E10F2DD0E11.R2RUVI "
    3.) Copy the File into: " C:\ProgramData\UVI\R2R "

    UVI Library / Expansions
    1.) Download and unrar

    every .ufs file (libraries ex:Falcon Factory rev2 and TagLibrary ) should be in "C:\ProgramData\UVI\Falcon" unless you want them somewhere else and if so you need to add that directory in falcon preference.
    and for every library you need 1 .r2ruvi file(taglibrary does not need one) which it must be in "C:\ProgramData\UVI\R2R"

    This made everything clear bro !! Thanks a ton :D

    So,
    Libraries / .ufs --> Other drive common folder + selected that folder from preference/soundbanks
    All .R2RUVI files --> C:\ProgramData\UVI\R2R
    C:\Program Files\TEAM R2R\UVIEMU --> Done cachebuilder

    Well i said its good if you use it daily and try to learn it. But for me its too deep and would take a year to learn. So i never learned it.
    Plus presets if you compare them with omni 3 presets, there really isn't any discussion which sounds best. Now Falcon FX is amazing.

    It is a power synth, probably the one with the steepest learning curve...
    So if you make music, you want flow!! if you sound design more, than Falcon can beat most synths.

    Aldrdy sold mine, does anyone actually want the expansions? id sell all 3 cheap, not the place for selling i know, just saying i have no use for them, if i could give them for free i would, license transfer costs, no way around that one, i tried alrdy,

    ANYWAY yeah Falcon was gonna be my go to synth, but it was to complex, and if you found a good preset, modifying it was nearly impossible...

    But yeah if you learn it i guess it speeds up the work flow. But im not buying it again, i stick with Omni for the most part. And some Softube synths. Spire, Sylenth, Serum 2. Altho Serum 2 sounds like crap to me, unless you are a really good designer with it, if you compare FX's with Serum and Falcon,Omni etc, Serum FX is a joke!!. So i almost never use it, Serum is over hyped imo... good for dubstep maybe..

    why choose when you can have both. Both Falcon and Omnisphere are the peak of Softsynth for me. Nothing else come close to those two beast.

    I guess, Falcon was just never used, it didn't follow you know synthesizers normal routing/modulations, so if i wanted to make music i had use synthesizers that sounds good, and are pretty easy and straightforward, as a sound designer, Falcon might be the top one, especially if you have all the effects, i think all FX is usable in Falcon alone, but i meant the ones outside, those are just as good as Eventide, and i have all Eventide plugs. nah i think they have a way of thinking in a designer perspective, but its unique and when you want to add analog filter, you have to add it in another "layer" and then modulate it AGAIN with some adsr from the bottom and stuff like that. You can right click and see modulation so that is good, but the layers/ hierarchy was too complex, you could add like filter and distortion and filter and so on, but some stuff had to be on a specific layer, and that causes the "chain" to be broken so its not straightforward.... But yeah you could do anything with it, i watched a video of a guy who's like the best synth designer, cant remember the name, but he said Falcon can do everything and correctly like the famous supersaw sound, which is unique, and all the saws modulate differently etc, thats the real supersaw and falcon could do it, and he said no other synth could do that, the real sound.

    Anyway music making is about flow. Falcon doesn't flow, it takes time, and if u screw up, yeah waste of time, trying to add new layers and going back and forth in the layer page and fx page, arp page, nah if it had a structure like serum, drag and drop and stuff it could be a beast.

    It has visual representation so that's cool, but Falcon is more a script based synth. and you can actually script it to do stuff that no other synth can.

    So anyone looking for a deep beast synth to make sound design for movies, music, whatever yeah learn Falcon and ur good to go.

    i agree that Flacon is kind of complicated and if they ever simplify it a bit, it will be the best hybrid softsynth out there
