No they are native, no need for DSP. They are releasing some DSP plug-ins in native version, more to come.

worked for me, but i didn't transfer them to a main account. Each freebie has its own account.

 

With UAD licence transfer of DSP versions is a real mess, and they don't allow to transfer licence of native version.

It's the illusion of a gift, again as i said most of these were already given away for free, i'm not desputing the fact that this is a gift, but if you can't actually use it or it doesn't add to your portfolio it won't help you much, other plugins developpers do gift actual plugins like a fully priced plugins, and do not forget that these plugins are already the stripped down versions of their full plugins, like the 1176 and the la2a missing the mix knobs...

TLDR they're giving away plugins they already gave away in the past and not only that, they're offering the free/downgraded version...

All I'm doing here is calling out UAD for their greed.

Its kind of funny, I've literally never bought UAD products and the last 2 years just got the free ones. They hook it up free a few times a year. Verve/LA2A/1176/Ampex and a few others.

I really don't understand your point clone, like we have the right to point out when a company is being sketchy, and in this case it is UAD that's being sketchy i do own a large catalog of UAD offerings, but that does not mean i will not point out their shitty behavior...

if you have been a fan of the company you would know that most of these plugins they're "offering" have already been offered, so if there's someone greedy here it's UAD. Another point is how they're keeping most of the popular plugins selection to spark subscription only, if you're so in love with the company it made you blind that's a "you" problem, my point is valid, my "complaining" is valid and it is within my right.

also compare how other companies are offering real gifts comapred to UAD stripped down "free gifts" anyway, i'm trying to point out a valid concern you're being butthurt and illogical for whatever reason, so have a good one enjoying these super duper over to top MEGA offerings from UAD!

I edited my comment so you can maybe have less trouble reading it. You are complaining about some company being greedy, when they are giving away something for free and all you are complaining about is not getting something additional for free. It's really not that hard to understand.

No-one owes you anything. They could just give you and everyone else nothing at all. Like almost every other plugin company that gave everyone nothing. Some do not even put their plugins on sale. Why aren't you crying about them? Because you are unhappy you went on sister site and see where R2R also did not give you UA plugins for free that you deserve for no apparent reason? That's a you problem.

Installation is done via UA Connect. Once they're installed and registered to your ilok, you can uninstall UA Connect if you want (I did). No internet or UA Connect needed beyond that - ever. Unless you want to install/update UAD plugins. Then you can uninstall UA Connect again and so on...

Keyword there being iLOK. No iLOK here, never will be. Still, IMO, not free... I guess if you're already on the hook with iLOK and internet on a production box then you're all good to go...Not me though.
