how the heck do you get it to work?
I got the player and the brass.

the player won't load.

 

Which daw ?

I've tested myself win 11 cubase , Studio one 7 it's working, amd CPU

 

All problems have description in R2R manual, read manual, and try again.

I had the same problem when I did a dump of my license, and did not rebuild the cache.

But i have a small problem, works only standalone, vst not working (90% of editor area is black), I'm already looking for a solution to this problem.

Everything works perfectly. Just read carefully and follow the instructions

 

I'll keep trying I've also got the black player screen

@capitan crunch I’ve never been a word police prick, but I can’t let you in good conscience get away with typing “disinstalled” lol… Glad you got it working.

 

Yes, it works, but I don't really understand, what the meaning is of: "After running the Player, load the patch of that library."

 

not found gpu_audio_amd.dll, gpu_audio_nvidia.dll
if i use vst - this is black screen, if i use standalone - this is a normal...

you're right. I used the italian "disinstallare"

 

I've followed the instructions, the Brass library shows up in Synchron Player, but when I try and open a patch I get an error saying "Could not load.....[patch name]" where clicking "OK" is the only option.

I've following the manual, but not sure what I may have missed?!

EDIT: So got a bit further. I think this happens because when adding library path, you need to close and then re-open for it to see the library, and then rebuild the cache. I initially installed, added libraries, rebuilt cache and then opened, meaning the cache was built before Synchron Player saw the library. Rebuilding cache again seemed to fix this.

However, in Windows 11 and Cubase 15, Ableton 12 and Studio One 7, it now just crashes the DAW on opening the patch instead of the error message. I suspect this may be GPU or runtime-related, so just gonna check them now.

Ok, so updated runtimes to latest versions using UniGetUI and on latest driver for my GPU (RTX 5090) and still crashing.

If opening standalone version, it crashes after 5-10 seconds and pops us a crash log submission dialog box.

If opening VST3 version in Cubase 15, Ableton 12 or Studio One 7 (all using latest versions), then the Synchron Player plugin crashes the entire DAW after about 10-20 seconds without me touching it or even even trying to load a patch.

Therefore, there's something causing a crash in the standalone and VST3 version, despite being on latest runtimes and so on.

So, what I did to get the same 'Could not load...' message is copy the wrong file to Synchron Player folder.
In the instructions it says this
"Move the file with the scary numbered name and *.R2RVSLSYN extension (Magic file) to "%PROGRAMDATA%\VSL\Vienna Synchron Player\R2R\"."

But the file that needs to be copied here is actually the file from the library itself (in this case, it's in the Synchron Prime Brass release).
After I fixed that I got everything perfectly working.
