I have two pieces of hardware (Very powerful VM with Win11 and an Intel NUC) that I would like to setup as client server for TUS plugins using DPBridge to offset the processing to the server (VM).

Is there anyone who could give clear instructions on how to set this up? I would like the VM to be the server with the plugins and the NUC as the client with the sequencer.

Questions. Where do I put what files? This includes the patches, editor, skins and more.

I did try this, but am stuck at where to place all the extra little bits...

 

first make sure you have everything. all synths, running on the master PC in the daw. If that all works inc presets, then unzip the server package a exe and a plugin folder anywhere you like on the server and run the server. If both are connected to the same router it should now work, it did here, no folder or setting up needed.. plugins and server should be the same version, 2.013 atm
Oh wait, there is a line in the ini file of the synths on the master that needs to be set to on or yes or1 otherwise the notwork does not show up.

Yes only the dsp part runs on the server, but both the plugins on the master and the server must be the same (latest) version, with the plugin folder that is in the server download package in the same directory.
The file you have to edit is called osirus.xml for example and is in C:\Users\your username\Documents\The Usual Suspects\Osirus\config

Another tip! first install the server also on you master daw PC and start it. That also works, of course with no positive effect on cpu usage, but you can see if everything works properly, without the complexity of a network and maybe firewall issues.
