@Margaret, I can't agree with your comparison, and I think you know you're being overly sensitive.
I think just the thought of it makes you feel sick.

Yeah, I am overly sensitive and thinking about girl bodycount and all those dirty cables plugged into her make me sick.

For techno and tech house, it delivers the Virus style sound without the hardware headaches and the CPU load stays manageable even in busy projects. The updates come slowly but they tend to be solid and the synth feels stable when you push it with complex patches. If you miss that Ti character and want it in a cleaner software workflow, it is a good buy.

 

i have bought 3 hardware rack synths in one year and i dont have issues with such things. i cleaned them with alcohol and i dont have issues.. im not sure what your poiint is

Back to the topic Adamn Shabo Viper is not worth the purchase since we have free OsTIrus unless your pc is a potato and you can't run it. But then I guess better to save money for better pc than buying plugins into potato pc. So double no lol

 

Well, the logic does not always hold true.
Part of the reason I bought Viper was because I had Osirus.
Yes, I had tried it before, and liked it, but Viper had the ability to load Virus patches at that point, so i bought it.
As a hobbyist it is a lot of fun for me to do side-by-side comparisons.
I'm not doing it for technical reasons or in any scientific way, but just for fun.

 

Viper was build with Synthmaker the Windows only construction tool. That is the reason no Mac ver existed. And actually cannot be a true emulation of anything.

 

Flowstone. http://www.dsprobotics.com/flowstone.html He's talked about it on here before. But that is the reason for no Mac support.

The Synthmaker website newest "news update" is from 2011 and mentions they were going to merge with DSPRobotics Flowstone. Then development appears to have stopped on Synthmaker also in 2011, like some Gordon Gecko buyout/takeover/shutdown.
