You are right. I thought it was just me, or Cloudflare. The solosamples site is also down and they are related somehow. Everything is the same except the content. Or was.

They all get DMCA takedown requests. The DMCA rules are that they have to take down infringing material within a certain period of time; not take down the entire site. The takedown notice that image shows is from 2021. If they were taken down by the G, usually they will leave a placeholder index.html letting the world know they were shut down. This is something more like their dns configuration is screwed up somehow. Even when you forget to pay a server or other bill, they will not usually wipe out the whole domain right away. Could be anything, but more likely a networking issue of some kind, imo.

your screenshot is from 2021. check your connection, use a VPN and beware of newbies (just joined today) and lay off the smoke a bit. Always double check, use isitdown to verify.

It's not "my screenshot". It's just the oldest of 4 DMCA complaints listed by Google. The latest is from Oct. 2024.
Did you check autiotools on isitdown? (Edit: I just did. audiotools is down / not responding)
Not sure what you are refering to, regarding newbies. However, I was asking if anyone knows something about the reason.

The American film and music industry has been cracking down on the entire illegal market for several years, shutting down many illegal websites; some have even ended up in court or prison. They're really taking a hard line.

DMCA Policy Audiotorrentz - AUDIOTOOLS: It is our policy to respond to any infringement notices and
take appropriate actions under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and other applicable.

there is a facebook group audiotools but its private, maybe someone there can bring some light about it.
It happens every now and then and then it comes back, but sometimes with a different name, we will wait.

So suicide is filed under "appropriate actions"?
I doubt it, but it would be surely preferable regarding a looming prison sentence.
That's why I was asking. I'm curious about the extend of the matter.

    AI search simply finds more:
Yes, the United States (government + entertainment industry) really did declare an all-out war on large-scale illegal distribution of movies, music, and pirate TV services — and they followed through with concrete, measurable results. Here are the clearest proofs with dates, operations, and outcomes:

    Major Operations & Shutdowns
    1. Megaupload (January 2012)
      • Largest file-hosting site in the world at the time (50 million daily users).
      • U.S. DOJ + FBI raided Kim Dotcom’s mansion in New Zealand, shut the site down overnight, seized $67 million in assets.
      • Caused an estimated $500 million in damage to the film/music industry. → Proof: Official DOJ press release + indictment still online.
    2. Operation In Our Sites (2010–present)
      • Run by ICE/HSI and the National Intellectual Property Rights Coordination Center.
      • As of 2024: 2,200+ domain names seized, including many movie/music download and streaming sites.
      • Examples: 2018–2023 alone seized domains responsible for hundreds of millions of illegal streams/downloads. → ICE annual reports list every seized domain.
    3. Protecting Lawful Streaming Act (December 2020)
      • Signed into law by Trump as part of the COVID relief bill.
      • Made commercial-scale illegal streaming a felony (up to 10 years prison).
      • First major convictions:
        • 2022–2024: Operators of “Jetflicks” (270,000 TV episodes) and “iStreamItAll” sentenced to years in prison.
        • 2023–2025: Multiple large IPTV providers (illegal TV packages with 10,000+ channels) shut down and operators sentenced (e.g., “Omni Live”, “Dragon Box”, “SetTV”).
    4. Pirate IPTV Crackdowns (2021–2025)
      • 2021: “Sparkle/Dragon/Gearbox” IPTV services taken down – served over 50,000 paying subscribers.
      • 2023–2024: Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment (ACE) + DOJ shut down 100+ major illegal streaming networks worldwide, many run from the U.S. or targeting U.S. users.
      • 2025 (ongoing): “Operation 404” Phase 6+ continues seizing servers and arresting operators in Brazil, Europe, and the U.S.
    Hard Numbers (official sources)
    • Motion Picture Association (MPA): Illegal streaming of U.S. TV/film dropped significantly after the 2020 felony law.
    • Digital Citizens Alliance + MUSO: Visits to the very largest pirate sites declined 20–40 % after major takedowns.
    • RIAA: Music piracy revenue loss in the U.S. fell from ~$12 billion/year (2005) to under $1 billion/year today — largely because of enforcement + legal streaming.
    Bottom line
The U.S. really did “declare war” and followed through:

    • Thousands of domains seized
    • Dozens of large operators jailed
    • New felony laws passed and enforced
    • Hundreds of millions of illegal streams stopped
Piracy still exists (especially overseas), but the era of massive, open, U.S.-tolerated pirate sites and services is over. They actually did it.

It's out here! But it doesn't say the site was taken down. So, there's hope that it might come back again. Let's see!

Often, they mirror their website beforehand, but after it's blocked, they look for a cheaper server and sometimes reappear.
In the case of Pirate Bay, the owner ended up in jail!
