The fez I am wearing has its origins with the classic song. A friend made it years ago. Thank you for your declaration. I will continue with this endeavour with the hope of bringing something fun into this crazy world.

Thanks all for sharing your amazing work
My participation is on its way and will follow very soon.

Definitly not crap, very fun piece, made me think it could be used in a game like Angrybirds or so

Great work as usual, your choice of song is perfectly in accordance with the picture, it must be a nice ringtone too

Ears fitness done! This is a fun piece, very well done! :disco:

Some really nice parts, I like the begining a lot, perfectly sticks to the theme to me, and the kinda enigmatic part near 1:30 sounds great. :)

Some good art for sure  and nice fez!

Here is my entry for this non-contest, a short orchestral piece with ambiance sounds.

I imagine someone walking in the street, and as he sees this guy with his violin, time stopped and a melody flows in his head.

Strings are from Afflatus library, except for the solo violin which comes from Soft strings soloists.

Thank you @yodadl for your musically valuable contribution!

I like the street life story and the way it's presented, as if you were there.
The strings deeply move me; they convey a touch of sadness and compassion.

    sweet @yodadl

Afflatus should pay you for this one.

Two super pop songs came to mind as I listed Charade by Henry Mancini {Jack Jones} and The way we were by Alan and Marilynn Bergman arr, Martin Hamlisch. {Barbara Streisand}.

@PulseWave .. You've certainly created for me an aural definition of FLUXus, keeping me enough off balance to imagine the fellow in the photograph might just tip backwards and fall off of his chair.

That's a compliment by the way.

@yodadl .. You took a page right out of my book... seeing an obscure something or other while traipsing around, hearing new music emanate from my inner ear and desperately then needing to document it quickly else it might to the aether return.

    My effort for this cycle.

My thought on seeing the pic - Change is indifferent. No participation or validation required. It just is and is so as a wholly separate concern beyond the respects of how any particular thing or moment might connect to someone on a conscious level and possess some relevance to them. How one might be affected or feel or world build or rationalize or revel or rejoice or rewhatever a change is a separate parallel concern, but it is forever the follower nonetheless. Change, in whatever form it takes, is occurring regardless of you. Join the ride or don't, but it ain't stopping.

I designed (most) of the sounds in such a way that they had a requirement added to their normal use ( a...change... if you will) - the opening synth had to be triggered in a certain way with particular voicing to get anything coherent, the bass had to be played in a particular manner or it implodes due to xmod and fm routings, most of the other sounds implode as well if not played 'correctly' etc. I might be making this sound more interesting than it is.... it's nothing all that overt, but those were the limitations I placed on myself.

@Usr4321 .. Sorry for the delay on my word salad to you, it'll be forthcoming soon.

This entry hopefully won't be my only one. I've been having a difficult time finding a way to put a rather long winded story into a neat little song package. My idea is that an alien artist from planet Mintret that uses captured humans and other lifeforms from many diverse planets who have been put into stasis and are stored in a living library of species taps into it's muse and decides to use a human in a new conceptual piece. The idea is to transport the subject to it's home planet Earth and use it in an outdoor installation, one in which other's of it's species can interreact. The subjected human art piece cannot escape because if he does his family which has also had captured along with him will be killed if he tries to do so. With this in mind...what I am offering up is what I played last night. I usually play some keyboard before retiring for the night, usually not recorded, but last night for whatever reason decided to do so. I just played through a few times and decided that this is the take I'd share. It incorporates elements of the song but finds me freely improvising and just playing without thought after roughly the first half. I usually take a few hits of this year's homegrown crop which always gets me in the mood to play some music.

Here is the patch that I used from U-He Zebra to use if you'd find it useful.

Thank you @Lois Lane for your inspiring futuristic story and your musical contribution, this time classical. A whole orchestra at home! I really liked your version #16; it was very professional, flawless, and flowed smoothly. It reminded me of Bach and Mozart.

I thought I'd do something a little different. I could not resist the humor relevant to the picture.
I saw it as someone who had years of playing under their belt and was struggling initially, dusting off the cobwebs getting ready for a string rehearsal. So he decided to change the strings and had a few issues tuning it... but eventually got it together....then went inside and played with the ensemble...like riding a bike, it all came back.

Thank you, @Somnambulist, for your creative, imaginative, and invigorating musical and lyrical contribution. It's really something, it's full of life. The beginning and the end hold some surprises of a human nature that you'd never hear on the radio.

Some was in fun, but there is also the reality that someone who has not played for a long time who used to play well will not immediately get everything perfectly on the first attempt. They will actually kick themselves too for letting it go and also, not forget how to do it and it will return... practice never made perfect but it definitely keeps a level of consistency.

Ok so wait I want to try to understand how this works. I thought you had a sample of a piece to include in your production, so you look at a picture and come up with a theme?
