3:46 PM German time, access is working again. Cloudflare in Berlin has crashed.

Many Major Online Services Disrupted

A massive outage at the internet infrastructure provider Cloudflare may be connected to numerous outages on Tuesday afternoon. Users of PayPal, ChatGPT, and other platforms reported problems.

Starting around noon German time, reports of problems began to accumulate – many websites and apps stopped loading, offered only limited functionality, or were completely inaccessible. However, the worldwide Spotify outage is likely unrelated to the Cloudflare issues.

The internet service provider Cloudflare, one of the world's leading providers of web security and performance services, is a possible cause of the disruptions. At 12:48 PM German time, Cloudflare posted on its status page about global network problems. The issue was known and was being investigated. Maintenance work had been announced earlier.

 

They are trying to stop the GONG!

 

Brussels had also problem. Fixed.

Its Back

 

First I thought it was the French in Lyon but then Zürich went down so I blamed The Illuminati.

 

It was down at the ISS for 3 hours, me and boys thought we are going to stuck here, which is kinda a good thing, but yeah all good now.

 

My closest CF endpoint was affected too. Everything points out to some massive internal SNAFU, this is the first official word (via Mashable)

Way too early to speculate, but there's a certain irony that CF a the company designed to prevent shit like this happening.

I'm still seeing some residual bumpiness so it might take a while, until we get the word that things have definitely been fixed I guess this is to be expected.

I really hate it, it’s making the internet an even more miserable place, hope it’ll put people off using Cloudflare’s services.

Huh, I wrote a small userscript to display the input box properly when using Dark Reader (the comment editor is in a separate iframe so normal styling tools don't always work). Apparently the editor picks the style up from there. Either that is really clever or really stupid, I don't know.
