Wow the ancient wisdom of consumer choice!:)
This isn’t about the rights to do something it’s about the type of developers blatantly trying to deceive people for profit, which says a lot about their character, even if not everyone notices. Meanwhile, they hide behind their independence and the label of a ‘small developer,’ as if that excuses the quality of their work. And yet, the prices they charge sometimes are far from what you’d expect from a small developer.

You can like a plugin and don't like the brand/dev. I'm not cheerleadering faulty devs just because i like some of their plugins.

His iLok theory is a poor one. People have been asking for the same plugins every single year and wondering why UAD, Soundtoys, etc are so persistently present on such lists. Theories like "they are paying to not release!". All you need is a small application of Occams Razor to these theories. "Why do I not have xyz yet"? It's pretty obvious the cause is because noone is giving them to you.

 Geeeee fn wiz... this has become a daily occurrence and is getting really old now. While I fully understand some of it is just friendly debate, dark humor and whatnot (which some may or may not fully understand due to language barriers/bad translations), much of it clearly isn't. There have been way too many reports and complaints about this thread, so at this point, if you guys cannot stay on topic, be civil with each other, refrain from using personal insults, offensive language, excessive arguing, ratings abuse etc., we'll have no choice but to remove you from the thread and/or lock it altogether. :knock:

And anyway, lots of new releases hitting the streets right now - there's plenty of Gong-related material to discuss!

    TY

Many software use similar protocols, licensing protection through third party etc. The way that protection is implemented though can vary. Just because software A uses the same core protection as software B, does not mean they execute the usage in exactly the same way.

The 600 gigabytes symphony orchestra from today made my brain collapse I can’t stop laughing at how big it is how are you supposed to hatch that good thing I don’t need it cause that’s a lot of space to buy for a new hard drive

It's just a complete orchestra with a very good quality and many articulations and mic positions. If you have this you don't really need another orchestra library. It's really handy for people who want good quality and don't want to work with dozens of orchestra libraries from different brands. So it's really useful for many. I prefer the other full orchestra from spitfire which is half as big, so I won't download it, but it's a great release.

Is the BBC Spitfire the gong? I don’t see R2R in the nfo or release info on sister site.

This wasn't exactly from R2R, rather the supposed China cracked version was finally able to arrive internationally, which is extremely impressive considering the file size. I don't think it counts as the Gong, but it sure is a major asset release, and I am all for it and grateful that the folks from China could achieve this
