I agree. Libraries can't be shared if nobody has them. I think I've only seen one person saying they were going to decrypt their library. Perhaps there is just no user base here?

 

I'm more inclined to believe that, at least in the past, some teams hacked the manufacturers' websites or compressed some users' accounts. Or does Team R2R have a secret ultra-rich sponsor who funds R2R with software or cash?

"They" couldn't provide any of the older libraries because the decryption tool was not compatible. They've updated it today so hopefully you will soon see them.

Since the first days of warez in early 80ties groups have "original suppliers", that's not new and it does not necessarily imply manufacturers' website hacking.

As far as I'm concerned (but I know won't be the case) the only thing I'm interested in is Pro Tools, since I have the hardware . The problem here is that unless you use workarounds like Blue Cat's Patchwork, you cannot use cracked plugins otherwise I would have bought it. I think R2R cracked it (you can have a fully functional "Ultimate" version as a trial for 30 days) but for some reason they prefer to keep it internal. The monster thing they are about to release could be VSL, I'm happy for those who are interested in but I'm not one of them because I don't need such a huge libraries for what I'm doing. Anyway, let's see...

That's the issue for what i do in Pro Tools i'm ready to pay for a perpetual license (Studio version which i can have for educational discount) but the issue is k'd plugins, even though i buy plugins quite often during black Fridays and sales in general, still can't afford Melodyne Studio or R11 which are crucial for my workflow, if R2R could release at least that AAX unlocker that's will be great, i can invest in PT studio education discount for $299 and use whatever plugins i want until i can afford, i think Avid is stupid, they could just unlock that stupid signature check so people can buy their DAW, me personally i bought my Ableton because i could at that time as i will continue supporting devs and products that i like.

That's insane, big studios can afford this no problem but who needs it (as a basic user), i believe the PT studio version is $599, which is expensive also, but similar price range to Cubase Pro and Ableton Suite

 

Maybe "pros" should just buy the software they need to do commercial work. The "mac please" and "windows please" beggars have nothing on the "pros" who can't read release titles and have to ask "AAX?". Why do such "pros" not have any money? They could at least afford some reading glasses.
