Well, when MTV was still a music channel... this song had a good run.

From this period (...and I'm not even an Oasis fan but the nostalgia works. :)):

Those aren't the two I'd have chosen. I'd have chosen The Most Played and Popular Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova! ;D

But MTV; I got rid of my tv in the 90's and haven't looked back. The internet saved me, but now it's killing me! Help! Help! :D

For some thematics (abuse in relationships LOL), I added to the above another video by the way. And in case you might want to undo your Like. :D

I also swapped the B52s for Missing Persons in the subsequent post. :D

...I should add something here too, why leave it blank?

Is that what they call, 'glam rock'? Did they even have MTV back then?
The drummer looks like a young Mel Gibson and the song seems to have some elements of Electric Light Orchestra. But of course they do move around, and clone.

Hehe, anything but Wonderwall. :bleh: Not bad, but overplayed as hell. Plus I was "lucky" enough to play it in a band in the 90s, so that was enough.

Okay, I understand the TV thing, but until the very end of the 90s, the internet was a no man's land IMO. I remember when we first tried it in school, I could never find anything I was looking for (and I wasn't looking for complicated stuff... no, not porn :)) and it was slow as hell. For most of us, the 90s will go down in history as the "TV-era" and let's be honest, there were still some meaningful TV shows back then at least in the EU.

    Garbage is good.

Yeah, The Sweet was glam rock back then.

    What instrument did you play?

But, yes, if you're more in touch, so to speak, with certain facets of society, then you might find some things overplayed-- certainly especially if you're also playing them.

Cool stuff — I love when music genres do a bit of crossbreeding. I guess we can call it power-pop. Sweet here have almost moved away from glitter glam and into more of a pop or art-rock sound
