I've tried so many things and this piece of shit synth still won't work.
I'm on Windows 11, using the R2R crack.
I've tried giving everyone the folder ownership. I've tried unchecking read-only but it resets every single time I open properties.
Funny thing is that in diagnostics Omni has a Steam directory, but the address is fucked: Says the address is C:\ProgramData/SpectraSonics/STEAM, not C:\ProgramData\SpectraSonics\STEAM. This might be the problem but idk if it is or how to fix it.

Step back, take a breath, come back next day after frustration has lifted.

Have you read through other threads for possible solution?
    What is your OS version?
Are you using the default location for the STEAM folder or, have you moved it & created a shortcut/SimLink?

    One ongoing thread:

Maybe you just forgot what operating system you are using. It's very likely your / (like Mac and Linux) should really be \ (Windows)

I'm not on Windows but here is AI directions:

    Step 1: Open Registry Editor
    1. Press Win + R, type regedit, and hit Enter.

    2. Navigate to:

      HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SpectraSonics
      HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SpectraSonics
Step 2: Locate the STEAM path key
    • Look for a value named something like STEAMFolder.

    • It might currently be:

      C:\ProgramData\SpectraSonics/STEAM
    Step 3: Correct the path
    1. Double-click the STEAMFolder value.

    2. Replace the forward slash / with a backslash \ so it reads:

      C:\ProgramData\SpectraSonics\STEAM

    3. Click OK to save.
Important: Use backslashes (\) for Windows paths. Forward slashes (/) can break the library reference.

    Step 4: Repeat for HKLM
    • Make the same change in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SpectraSonics if there’s a STEAMFolder value there.
    Step 5: Restart OmniSphere
    1. Close your DAW completely.

    2. Reopen OmniSphere.

    3. Go to Utility → Repair Library to make it rescan the folder if needed.

I'm having the problem that the authorization screen won't disappear. I've successfully installed Omnisphere on three different computers, two of which had never been installed always the same. I'm on Windows 11 and I don't know what to do. Help!

Were you offline with Windows Defender turned off in settings or other anti-virus off ?
Did you select the correct portion of the authorization request from the browser (everything after &ch=) ?

Instructions are attached as a file:

for Spectrasonics Omnisphere V3.0.0d by R2R

Spectrasonics Omnisphere V3.0.0d by Spectrasonics (Original)

Even Google agrees that the path is likely wrong. This would probably be the easiest thing to fix out of other possibilities.

The path C:\ProgramData/SpectraSonics/STEAM is likely wrong because it uses a mix of backslashes (\) and forward slashes (/) as directory separators.
    Here is the explanation:
    • Windows convention uses backslashes (\) as the primary path separator (e.g., C:\ProgramData\SpectraSonics\STEAM).
    • While many modern Windows APIs and applications can handle forward slashes (/) as an alternative separator for compatibility with web standards and other operating systems, older or specific third-party applications (like some components of the Spectrasonics software or related tools) may strictly require the conventional backslash format.
The correct path for the Spectrasonics STEAM folder on Windows should be:
    C:\ProgramData\SpectraSonics\STEAM
To fix the issue, you should use a consistent path with backslashes throughout, which ensures maximum compatibility with all Windows functions and applications.

I always put STEAM on an external drive. I would make a folder STEAM on the external at the root directory, go to the 60gb folder on c: copy everything in it, paste it to the new /STEAM folder on the external, and then create a symbolic link from one drive to the other. I'd never give something 60gb of my system disk.

    Unfortunately, that's not true:

    C:\ProgramData\Spectrasonics\STEAM
    C:\ProgramData\Spectrasonics\STEAM\Omnisphere
