I am trying to load torrented Spitfire Chamber Strings Professional V1.4.1b59 and Berlin WoodWinds in cracked Kontakt 8 and 7 but it is loading as a demo(sample sound playing but no sound coming out of the actual plugin). I have other cracked plugins (Pacific Ensemble Strings, Atomic Big Band) that have loaded in kontakt fine so i dont think it is an issue with kontakt, i have also created new SPIND and .nicnt files using KLU and it is still not working.

 

Did you try to open Kontakt separately, select "File > Options > Librabries > Launch Library Tools", "Add Library" and then choose the folder with the fully seeded library?

 

Yes, and with other cracked plugins its been able to run fine. I wonder if there is some protection that spitfire has on their plugin.

 

I do not use such big Kontakt libraries, so I can't say for certain or anything this will work. But if I was in your predicament, since this library is actually from Kontakt 5 time period when it was released. I would install it and get it working with Kontakt 5.6. Then after loading ok in there once or twice, I would try 7 and 8. A number of older libraries will work this way. No promises.

Even the 1.4.1b94 version (which is over 200gb! btw) says this: Requirements: Kontakt FULL or Kontakt Player v5.5.0 or higher!

You did not mention your version of MacOS, but if it is too new; K5.6 might present its own hurdles.
Kitty Scripts might work too. Worth a try since it is a very small download comparatively.

When you say cracked plugins you mean the Spitfire libs, I assume.

What Kontakt exactly are you using. Bobdule, portable VkDanilov...

The most likely cause of the problem is the .nicnt

No Mac versions of those. Is there a Windows version of KLU I'm not aware of? Otherwise, it's a Mac related question with different workarounds. It is most likely Moria or HCiSO.

 

Hi, I am using Mac 15.4.1, i couldnt find a cracked version of kontakt 5.6.8 but i did find a version of kontakt 5.7.3 so i will try on that

 

For some reason I remember 5.6 being the last version that will work. But it has been quite a while since I had to do that trick.

 

I have installed both those libraries on Kontakt 8 and all the versions of K before. There is nothing special about either of them. I am however on win 11 with Danilov's excellent portable version. This clever version takes care of .nicnt files which always used to be the problem for me as Xupito suggests.

 

KLU generates NICNT files with no problems at all. I've never had a problem with it, anyway; but I also have my service center xml file from that dynamically updated one on NI servers. So after replacing that every once in awhile, I do not even get SNPID conflicts.

The Kontakt 5.6 trick was what we used before all these utilities arrived once K6 was the standard version by then, like Kitty Scripts. KLU2 is easily the best one for Mac.

I looked on another site at the comments, each had like 200 completed downloads and no comments about it not working. I'm not about to download something this big that I don't need just to test it.

 

Oh, you're on Mac. I'm on Windows. There's a cool utility for mac in this forum I think

Anyways, a possible quick fix: open the nicnt file in a text editor and search for "RAS". If you see "RAS2", change it to "RAS3" and save the changes. It might work, long shot but easy to try.
