Hello @krp music, thank you for this beautiful song.
Truly beautifully instrumented with a lot of love and heart. Every instrument really shines, stress-free music.

You are clearly a very talented and creative musician. Keep it up!

Melikesit ! :like:...has a bit of 'Sting' vibe to my ears. I can just imagine his vocals coming in.

...mix sounds nice and clean to me. That first little percussive pop sounds a bit loud till the rest of the instruments start. Maybe a bit heavy on the distortion on guitar???....but i always say that a mix is personal taste so i would go with how you feel.

if this would be my song i would :

    -use less distortion
-double the overdrive guitars, pan left and right,
-work/fix the solo, play it in the right key, tune guitar.
-work on the song to be more lively
    -mix later

When I read Sting I didn't think of the musician, I thought of the film The Sting I saw with my Grandpa at our local cinema.

I mostly agree with these. I think for my taste it is too much distortion in the second part. The contrast is too big. If you dial back on the distortion a bit, the whole piece will become more consistent and it will fit better into the soft-rock category as a whole.

The bass notes are off around 1m and 2m20s. The emphasis is on the passing notes instead of the notes that are in the scale I think.

For my taste, you should try to fill the stereo spectrum more consistently. There are parts where 90% of the sound is coming from the left speaker and the right is basically silent. I would suggest to mix more center to sides instead of left to right. Especially doubling your guitars left and right can help to get a mix that is full and more consistent when it comes to the stereo spectrum.
As a general rule of thumb, you don't want the overall loudness levels to be vastly different between the left and right channel, the mix as a whole should stay more or less "centered".
Rather than dropping the right channel and moving everthing to the left, drop the sides and move everything to the center.

ur correct the guitar was too heavy its a little reduced now i wanted to get the vox down also to get perspective. strangely when i adjust the gain knob instead of volume, it straight up reduces the gain on the distortion instead of overall volume, if that makes sense? anyway... still in the mixing waters this sunday!

u are spot on with the bass!! i just couldnt figure what notes to play there so i kind of let it, for now, be like this wierd human mistake to exist there but its crazy that you caught it, nice catch!
and yes after the distortion starts, it is drifting a little too much to one side. i have now doubled the electric, will reduce the distortion and move things more around so its more centered. thank you
