Teaching an Octopus to Play Piano

Few videos with a title this ridiculous and promising end up delivering the goods - but my god, this guy actually taught an octopus to jam with him! It's a fantastic story, with a cinematic narrative arc - in which Mattias Krantz first builds up a level of trust with the eight legged friend, before introducing it to a piano, and adapting it for easier tentacle-based triads. There's lots to learn here about design, psychology and perseverance..Incredible stuff!

 

I thought that the guy was going to research the best place to return the octopus in the ocean and free it, but made the lame excuse at the end as why he didn't. It was very disappointing.
