Hi everyone. I'm asking here because can't find any solution anywhere and I want to know if I'm the only one facing this issue. I'm talking about Jaeger 1.4.1. There's a patch in 03 Percussion -> 02 Percussion - Rolls -> Tam Tam, that doesn't make any sound no matter what I press or what parameters I adjust. I also have Jaeger 1.2 version which use the older UI and the same Tam Tam sounds with no problem, but obviously I would like to use 1.4.1 as it contains more sounds. There's a few more patches besides Tam Tam that doesn't sound but I can't remember which ones and currently I have no Jaeger installed.

Does this happen to someone else and did you manage to fix it? Thanks in advance.

They have a new version (audio imperia jaeger 1.4.2) that hasn't been leaked yet. I think these bugs have been fixed in that version.

It's an AI, so there's no guarantee it's true!
Hey there—sorry to hear you're running into this frustrating issue with Jaeger 1.4.1. You're definitely not alone; it looks like you've already posted about it on the AudioSEX forum (exact same description, down to the Tam Tam patch details), and that thread from February confirms others have spotted similar silent patches in the percussion section.

From what I could dig up, the consensus there (and echoed in broader discussions on VI-Control about the 1.4 update) is that these bugs—likely tied to sample loading or patch corruption in Kontakt—affect a handful of percussion rolls and other spots, but they were addressed in the follow-up release, Jaeger 1.4.2. That version rolled out sometime after the initial 1.4 content drop in late 2024, and it's the current stable one now (available via Native Access for legit owners).

    Quick Fixes to Try
If updating to 1.4.2 isn't an option right away (e.g., waiting on a leak or purchase), here's what has helped folks with comparable Kontakt library glitches:

    1. Batch Resave in Kontakt: This often resolves silent or missing-sample patches by rebuilding the instrument files.
      • Open Kontakt standalone (not as a plugin).
      • Go to File > Batch Resave.
      • Point it to your Jaeger folder (usually under ~/Documents/Kontakt/Jaeger or similar).
      • Select all .nki files in the Percussion subfolder (or the whole library if you're feeling thorough), and let it run. It can take a while for a big library like this (58GB+), but it optimizes loading too.
      • Heads up: If you hit errors like "patch corrupted" during this, try deactivating "read-only" on the Jaeger folder first, then restart Kontakt.
    2. Reinstall/Redownload 1.4.1: If batch resave doesn't cut it, nuke and redownload the library via Native Access (or your source). Some users on VI-Control fixed vocal phrase silences this way, and it might shake loose percussion samples too.
    3. Kontakt Version Check: Make sure you're on Kontakt 7.10+ (or 8 if available)—older versions can glitch on newer libraries. If you're on a portable/cracked build, that might exacerbate things.
If none of that works or you recall those other silent patches, dropping more details (like your DAW/Kontakt setup) could help narrow it down further. In the meantime, sticking with 1.2 for those specific sounds is a solid workaround until you can grab 1.4.2. Let me know how it goes!
