It seems that starting from version 2.0.20 and above, based on user reports, there are a lot of bugs. I'm creating this thread so that bug reports for newer versions can be posted here, so our helpful team can review and provide updated fixes, ensuring that the files have fewer issues.

These are the issues I’ve encountered in version 2.0.23 for now. in win 10 vst3

I hope VR can provide a review for the new version soon.

1 Macro names cannot be written, and they also don’t appear in previously created presets.

2 When linking an assigned modulator, the problem doesn’t show up unless the Matrix tab is opened and then switched back to the OSC tab.

3 The keyboard animation (main + ARP + CLIP) doesn't work when clicking.

After using the setup Xfer Records Serum 2 v2.0.23 V.R Patched Plus-TCD.

The bugs I mentioned before are still there but The preset pack export demo error is gone
It still has the previous bugs for VR.

DEMO MODE after 3 hours.
when loading same project presets disappear sometimes
and when i click next preset nothing happens its almost like it gets struck sometimes

 

Yeah, it feels like an endless loop of fighting bugs that don’t even exist. Most of these issues could be avoided if any of the release teams grab five or more proper beta testers from sistersite since every PC has a different machine ID and behaves differently. I doubt they’ll ever do that, but I’m still hopeful.

Honestly, it’s much better to just get a Splice subscription instead of wasting time fighting nonexistent bugs.

The most stable releases were from -X-, with little to no bugs (at least none that would ruin the experience). But it seems he’s not active anymore since he mentioned in one of his NFOs that he’s a bit busy (not in those exact words).

Much respect to TCD and VR for their consistent updates.

 

I confirm this, this crash also occurs after installing TCD.

 

Yes, the FX bug is particularly nasty. Going back to an older version...

 

Which version do you fellows recommend as the least buggy?

 

Version 2.0.20 worked fine for me, though each version has its own bugs. For example, in 2.0.20, when you dragged the wavetable multiple times, the GUI would glitch and become floating. I updated from this version to 2.0.23, which has a lot of annoying bugs. The first version I installed was 2.0.19, which had the fewest bugs.

I hope TCD or VR sees this thread and gives a new review to fix the bugs.

 

When I try to assign macros to, for example, the LFO rate, nothing shows up. I have to go to another LFO, then come back to the LFO I assigned the macro to, and click again on the macro for the blue bar to appear. This issue also happens with envelopes. Similarly, if I'm in the Matrix tab and assign something there, it doesn't show up unless I click on the FX or OSC tab and then go back to the Matrix to make it appear.

Test time 5 to 10 minutes The issues I mentioned have been fixed in the Plus Plus Like Notepad-TCD version.

@verwest I dont know why i can't export preset pack, clicking in browser with right click not work context menu.

"The preset pack export demo error is gone" - i cant test this because i cant create export pack.

it's fixed but when you delete the serum and re-insert it. it just goes into demo mode.

 

It's working for me and I can export the serumbank.

I did this in both FL and Ableton about 40 times just a few minutes ago, no problem for me.

after 15 min in ++ TCD it get demo
I'm going to take the test +++ TCD

 

After the test, about 20 minutes for the previous issues, and 30 minutes without touching the plugin, only leaving the plugin open. In total, after 50 minutes, I did not receive any demo message in the +++TCD version.
