Slowly but surely, Digital Audio Workstations feel like giving a super talented but simply structured band a bunch of new technology in 100 boxes. The band then no longer makes music but has to search through and test 100 packages, figure out how everything works, and in the end, this music band makes no more music because they are all burned out. There is no trace left of creativity and making music... whether they continue experimenting or ever manage to produce anything again is questionable.... It is clear that DAWs have slowly but surely become bloated with endless hype-features that with every update keep creatives from making music... just saying..

Known Issues

Dolby Atmos

Unfortunately, there’s a stability issue with Dolby Atmos projects in the initial release of Cubase 15. To ensure the best experience and reliability, we recommend using Cubase 14.0.32 for Dolby Atmos projects. We’re actively working on a fix and will provide an update as soon as possible.

Stem Separation on Windows on ARM

The new Stem Separation feature is not yet available on Windows on Arm systems. We’re confident that support will be added in one of the upcoming maintenance updates.

 

I thinks Cubase is the easiest & in same time, professional DAW on market. Yes its a bit complicated, but Cubase 30 yrs old already

 

Yeah i know i didn't update to .40 for that reason, but it's funny to think they prioritized profit through incrementing the version number than fixing really important things before releasing it.

PS: Not a rant, just following the news with popcorn at hand

 

Honestly, this yearly release of few new features is like a subscription, if you update regularly. Many of these features should be free updates, they leave so many issues still unresolved for previous versions which is the biggest worry. Project preview is a nice thing and stock plugin resizing too, lets hope they actually work and they haven't been messed up due to new skin, else we'll need to wait for Cubase 16 for a fix.

 

I see its Groove Agent SE 6.0.10

So Groove Agent 6 Pro hopefully immediate release as well.

Thats the Good with Logic 11. Since this VErsion Apple implemented Stem Seperation. Is really Easy to use.


It does what it's supposed to do in a very simple way.
Ideal for such light applications.
You don't always want to do audio forensics.
Spectralayers is just too overloaded for me.
Just like Cubase is now.
How simple the Cubase SX 3 days were.

 

OmniVocal looks interesting though... I don't think it can compete with SynthV, but it's a start.

Yeah thank you! and it’s the same with Presonus, Microsoft, and plenty of others. They just keep stuffing their software with hype-driven features until nothing works properly anymore. The developers don’t bother with real optimization anymore — that’s too boring for them. No, it’s always about adding more and more so-called ‘features’ to make people buy again. Years-old bugs are simply ignored, because who cares, right? Anything that’s dull or too complex for this new generation of drag-and-drop programmers just doesn’t get done. The gaming industry is affected too — now we get new ‘seasons’ every few months instead of games designed to last for the long run.
