How does one get the preset library for this plugin. For the crack you aren't supposed to have the plugin connect through internet and that seems to be the only way to get the user library presets, over 400. Otherwise there are like some 20 presets included. Some interesting sounds would be a shame if you couldn't grab the other presets.

 

Because I have two DAW machines, I have demo version on second machine with active presets download... and I'm using it only for dowload presets.

After presets are updated just copy presets folder to first DAW

 

It would be cool if someone threw that together in a rar so that everyone could have them without running two installations.

It seems to me that the problem is far more than simply install the 'last-in-date' Demo Version (v2.2.4), because this one (only) contains about 245 Presets.
I think that (as you say it) to get these 'extra' 400 Presets, you must to be a registered User of 'Cableguys' (--> 'Sync' function), then when accessing your Account, you can then download these ones...

 

On there site it says the 400 presets are available for the free version (demo) too.

Just read the site again and it says the sync function gives you access to 1000 presets. I just downloaded the latest demo and there are still the same number of presets, less than thirty, no where near 245. Maybe I didn't uninstall correctly first, will see.

Would really appreciate if someone can share there presets. I just tried the sync for the demo to grab and share but for some reason after pressing the sync,,,, nothing happens??

EDIT** Sorry nm, the gui was too big to fit on screen so I didn't notice the bottom was downloading and indeed there are around 245 presets. Once downloaded I can share them. Peace

Rather strange that you only get a few Presets !
When I installed that new Demo (v2.2.4), I effectively got 245 Presets as depicted in the following image :



IMPORTANT :
You must to select : Selection 'All'(upper right corner of the image) instead of just 'Approved' to get all the Presets included in the Demo, and maybe that's the main reason why you get only a few Presets. *yes*

As it seems that we're somewhat in 'Full Duplex' with our respective comments...

I'm under 'Windows 8.1' (64bit), and if it's you case too, you'll find all the 'Curve 2' Presets via the following path :

C:\User (You !)\AppData (by default 'hidden' !)\Roaming\Cableguys\Curve\4curve2\presets\... <-- here

You must have several Folders named : 0 through 9, and a through f,...

 

Thanks, I managed to get about 800 of them and just found them on my drive, will rar and upload in case anyone wants them... Peace The presets are stored as .dat files that I assume the plugin reads and converts to something usable. Not sure what to do here. Would upload them but not sure how it'd affect someone else's computer and would feel bad if something happens. For now it seems to get them you have to install demo first, sync, then copy the folder of the presets then paste them after a crack install. Will see if this works.

Since the demo uses and installer and the crack just has a .dll, I'm unsure how to refer the presets in the app data folder to the crack. Once I deleted the demo and isntalled the crack the presets didn't show up no were the app data removed. Not sure what to do at this point? *no*

Hey nikon, thats really great for sending me the presets. Can you confirm roughly how many presets this should get with your rar so I can double check?

 

No we were just going to keep them for ourselves.

 

Install DoA version or R2R version (work with both, but I use R2R) , go to
C:\Users\your user\AppData\Roaming\Cableguys\Curve
and overwrite . Restart plugin . Voila 3000 presets .
Block your DAW internet connection .

EDIT: When I disactivate "approved" I have 126 pages, after sync...I believe this is all, non?
