just saw that antelope audio has a free maag style eq plugin available via the link until the end of november, in exchange for an email address and an AA account

i have yet to try it but i'm interested to see how it stacks up against the plugin alliance version. that air band sounds nice on a lot of sources

On top of that you need to install their bulls*it "Antelope Launcher" and give it administrative rights.

Even after that you can't download the plugin. You can just click on install. Hard pass!

This EQ is incredible I love it so much
More musical and it gives you the 3d sounding
I have the legal PA Maag EQ 4 plugin and I never love it but this one MG4+ it's another story do not hesitate guys just try it

Antelope are amazing plugins. I have them in DSP version and they sound very musical. I don't know about the Native version, if they sound identical or not.

What is actually so bad about ilok? I find it the best, hassle-free way to have everything licensed. Especially when moving from a machine to another. I see a lot of hate towards it but never understood it. Serial numbers and other ways of licensing take a lot of time, when reinstalling the system.

I tried to download it but it said: This license can only be activated to a second (or later) generation Ilok. Anyone else bumped into this problem?

This free version of the MAAG is great! Compared it to the PA version. Definitely more umph in the low end for he Antelope version. The PA version seems be slightly more open in the high end.

 

Agree that a less intrusive means of giving away a free plugin would be great. Individual installers would also be welcome. At least you can load it without anything extra. Also seems that DATA sharing is not optional.

 

Nowadays, I see “free giveaway,” and I already expect a dumb installer and a website asking for sensitive info
