Hello, perhaps I can get some help....

I can't upgrade from kontakt 5.1.0.6066, every time I try with newest versions Cubase 7.5.2 became unstable and I get lots of crash. I did all the steps showed at the Kontakt problems but nothing, the crashes are always while I load and instrument or edit it. Does someone have any similar issue? I made also a clean instalation of K. deleting everything and nothing change, may It be a permission problem?

The latest version I have is Native.Instruments.Kontakt.5.v5.3.1.UNLOCKED.Update.MacOSX-R2R, I also trying with the official Kontakt_5_Player_531_Mac.dmg

Hackintosh 10.9.3 (24gb ram) i7 920

Uninstall Kontakt completely (there is a tutorial on this forum by Introninja on how to remove every trace of Kontakt on your computer), install 5.2, then upgrade to 5.3.1. That should do the trick.
I'm on windows but I had lots of Kontakt crashes lately and a clean reinstall from 5.2 worked for me. Hopefully it will work on a Mac too

I've install from 0 with the tutorial a month ago but It didn't solve the problem, I didn't try with 5.2, directly 5.3, can someone with mac to confirm this?

It's not Kontakt that giving trouble per say...It's it's database that has a mind of it's own!!!!

okay try this:

Backup & Delete the following files from this folder
C:\Users\your.user.name\AppData\Local\Native Instruments\Kontakt 5\Db
Factory.kdb.cache
kontaktdb2
kontaktdb2Lock

and make sure kontakt & all music programs are closed. then after deleting the files launch Kontakt & update your database

I believe this is your problem

I also create a new user and delete this files in user library but no luck, I have lots of crashes while I edit instruments in Kontakt 5.3.1 (under Cubase) (let's say change outputs, channels in Kontakt)
I have this problem since 5.3.0, I've never had an stable setting after this update, I'm always getting back to 5.1.
I've followed all the steps, deleted everything concerning to Kontakt and installing from 0 but nothing...

Another thing, Stand alone works perfectly , the problem /hang up is under cubase.
Perhaps is useful this information.

 

I found a thing adding the libraries to K, I had put together 2 libraries, Cinebras PRO + CORE, It was really useful but perhaps not funny to Kontakt and its preferences.
I spend 2 hours putting this things in the right order, after that I delete the preferences of this libraries (F.E. Cinebrass, etc) (both preferences) and also the service center files of these libraries, I also trash the kontakt database.
I start to work with cubase and for almost 1 hour I didn't have crashes, but I was too good to be real, so after select an instrument to load in K it crashed cubase, I was a happy man for 1 hour...

I will continue searching the solution....
