That "dice" deal sucks. If you click on it get prepared to duck and run for cover - very unpredictable for both ears and your playback system. So we all get this compressor for free, and it really should be free because there's nothing special about it at all. The scary, nazi-lookin' U-tuber gets a lesson from real witches on where he stands in the audio industry. The plugin is basically a throw away.

The lesson learned here in todays class is - DON'T FUCK WITH THE WITCHES!

Understood, understandable, and thanks for the feedback (as well as your moderation efforts).
It can be a challenge when one gets into some habits, such as of peering at/explaining the world more from a holistic standpoint, where most anything can come to bear, but here, I'm trying.

When i see an analyzer plugin like 30mb, old Span is under 1mb(!), 30 times smaller..it all started as a tool, good exsample is old legacy Waves plugs like rcomp rverb, feels like a tool...

But these 70mb 3D GUI's, it is like a parallel universe forming this new fiddler industry specially knowing that we need to use ears more, not less.

Cant even think to open those plugs while i'm doing some work.

It’s clear now that this "developer" exploits sort of conversational marketing to grab attention, farm engagement, and monetize the drama by getting people to talk about him.So he was from the start a self-declared expert now just leaning on R2R info to prove himself an expert
And this kind of works, I for example, had never heard of this bloke or his crappy plugins. But how ridiculous it all looks, clearly designed to fool idiots.

Some developers, and even more sample content creators; don't care about the file sizes. With samples it is pretty obvious they bulk them up on purpose, and even mention the large amount of storage space as a selling point. If the gong is UA, people are going to be disappointed by the 10 mb they average. If you think Windows users have it bad, check out the size of the same plugins of the Mac versions. It's crazy.

 

I think the best thing to do is just ignore him.

 

So that shitty plugin is what he puts out after calling everything in audio world a scam. Ironic. This is why I will never use his tools. He is just an attention seeker with amateur approach to create plugins with a snob attitude just so make ppl trust in him so he can make a little bit of sale in this saturated plugin market. His ways are not my thing and he is one of the scams himself that is for sure. He is nothing but a clout chaser.

Just because views are the only thing this so-called developer cares about, and his opinion stays with him, I didn’t change anything—you can make your own choice where to watch it, especially since he claims to love open source!

 

Does he thinx he's like avid or UA or something What exactly has HE brought to the table that was actually truly unique and useful? This compressor thing is a POS one off and R2R threw him a bone and cracked his "major accomplishment" just for a laugh and now he thinx he's entered the "big time" because R2R did him a solid... The legit major corporate devs (and smaller devs as well) get paid by actual brick & mortar businesses, and certified online services who are required to pay for such things in order to comply with business standards organizations that police that kind of thing. Do you see WAVES, AVID, Softube, Soundtoys, UA, Eventide, etc, going out of biz because any of their stuff got cracked? NO. So this dude is now just ranting about crap just out of the blue and about shit he knows absolutely nothing about.. Once again... The "free gift" thing is just retarded. Did he include a CRC so his code could be checked for authenticity? NO. R2R INCLUDES CRC HASHES IN ALL OF THEIR RELEASES AND HAVE BEEN DOING SO FOR YEARS. Again he is talking out his arse. He so scared of malware...It borders on the pathological...Are there no proper virus scanners for apples machines? The one take away from the whole debacle is that the PLUGIN "curvature" is nothing special. Audio folk use compressors for pretty much one thing. This plugin sort of does that "thing" that folks need a compressor to do. I didn't see or more importantly hear anything coming from this plugin that I couldn't hear coming from 12 dozen others. So much ado about nothing... Quite frankly this entire thing smells like a grab for attention by one of the biggest attention whores on yt.
