See, most of times I'm somewhat disappointed whenever I see a video trasposition of books that I read.
However, being the original Foundation trilogy the only work of Asimov that I really appreciate, I'll try to have a look.

I read all five of the Foundation series beginning when I was 15 in high school and finishing up with Foundation And Earth years later when 27 years old. I liked the television series although it of course cannot compete with the original novels. If you go into understanding that it is it's own thing, going as far as with swapping the sex of certain characters (which worked in my opinion) you'll probably have a good time with it. The acting, direction, costumes and visual design of the series is top notch. I give it a 4.5/5.

Interesting. I read also a prequel (Foundation zero or something like that) where Hari Seldon was doing the meteo thing and meeting the emperor, long before the Mule. To be honest I just remember the main trilogy.

What I really hardly miss, is a complete (Herbert) Dune saga (7 books - the last not from him) including the god Emperor, Heretics, and so on. Of course, this universe is so huge that any kind of spin-off could be conceived, from Bene gesserit, to Mentat, to Space Guild, all spin-off books were great IMO.

I mean, now there is a technology that allows to do that without huge expenses. Even AI CGI would be welcome.

 

This one was a fantastic watch, the cast killing it and Depp transformed as Whitey Bulger, scary as fuck and real as your worst nightmare. It is based on a true story.

 

Totally! The recent Dune films were ok to me though nothing comparing to my own imagination reading the novels.

 

A film that holds its own with Kurt Vonnegut's vision of his novel. I devoured all his writing back in the day, eagerly downing the next and the next.
