    Serum 2 was a much more impressive upgrade.

    17 years since Omnisphere 1... This is 3.. 10.5 years since 2 (can't believe it's been that long). That's still a pretty long time though between new major versions.

    I contacted Spectrasonics and they were very kind and gave me a free upgrade code for Omnisphere 3. What a relief.

    Nice! I figured they'd do that, but not every company would do the right thing.

    But if it's like >10 years since 2 was released, it's crazy not to free-upgrade you to 3 when you bought 2 just 6 weeks ago. Anyways, right on!!

    its not 17 years, in 2008 Omnisphere v1 was released. Omnisphere v2 was release in 2014 or even 2015. Omnisphere v2 had a massive Library and GUI update. And in between smaller important upgrades, like adding granular synthesis in v2.5.

    I think they are from an old late ’90s sample CD called Vocal Planet, which Spectrasonics sold when they were still a sample CD company.

    If only they had those jazz chorded samples from the same CD (sus 13, maj 9, etc.), and remastered or however they ported over the sounds... Those samples are heavenly and so warm.
