    Good day AS members,

Please does anyone know any site, that allows the user to upload audio files and then give similar one-shots audio samples in return for download or just recommend similar one-shot?

    Thank you very much.

I've never seen this on a site. XLN XO is perfect for it though. It is a good drum machine, but as a sample manager it's not the best for long samples and large libraries. If you have a lot of drum samples, it's great. Sononym has a Similarity Search, but Sononym only works as an application outside of your DAW.

Loopcloud will do this. You can get results either for your own library or for their store. The recentish update, shockingly, improved it's search functions quite a bit. At least for my library. I don't use the store, but I'd assume it's results are similarly improved for likeness searches.

@Synclavier For Loopcloud, I think the answer to your question is a yes; an alternative would have been real good because, I've watched videos and Loopcloud can do what I want but, the subscription is tough.

I knew what you are asking for, but for me the answer is unfortunately no. I have thought about every online samples service available and I do not know any you can upload yourself and then do a similarity check like you can with the programs I mentioned. I've never seen it before. Most services are just interested in you downloading stuff after paying for it. The community style websites where you can share samples, do not have the technology you are asking about afaik; because it would probably be AI.

Loopcloud is awesome, and my favorite sampler manager I have tested so far. Especially because the "mothership" application connects to a plugin in your DAW. But if you want to go by pure "similarity' searches, XO's "universe" model is the one I would pick for one-shot samples. It's main feature is similarity of hits, without even doing a "Search". Everything is just next to whatever it is most similar to. Also, it is way more capable of a multi-channel drum machine; and also a way more robust plugin which is also lighter n CPU resources and more stable.

Also Algonaut's Atlas (Drum machine/sequencer like XO), in fact, it's pretty close, but i think I prefer Atlas over XO in terms of the similiarity feature and randomization (but XO is pretty great so dont get me wrong). There is also Sononym (It's a sample manager that tags your files for you, its not perfect but it aint bad). Great when you just can't seem to find that certain snare sound out of your thousands of snares. Theres also EZDrummer 3, it is not quite what you're after, but thought I'd mention it. The similiar feature in EZDrummer 3 is for MIDI drum files, not samples, though it works really good actually.

Dear MakeBelieveStartupCompany, please give us the real time editing tools/daw connectivity of Loopcloud, the tagging, analysis, and search of Sononym, the cluster grouping of XO, and since that is all too perfect... make a godawful decision like always online or only works with odd OS versions on Mac and even OS versions on Win. Or Linux... but only the Hannah Montanna distro.
