    Hi all !

I can't figure out where to download ROM files for this company's synthesizers other than sister site.
Am I correct in understanding that each synthesizer requires a separate ROM file? I know where to install all this from the instructions, but I can't figure out where to find them.

Did you mean this post: Roland JP80x0 ROMs and Stuff?
The synthesizer will be released soon, and then you can use the data from that post.

Right now, I'm trying to install Nodal_RedX2. I have already found links to it both on the developer's website and sister site with ROM+Presets.
But since it's all free, I would like to know where I can download the additional required files at high speed rather than from file-sharing sites.
For example The Usual Suspects OsTirus is 260MB/638MB/1.6Gb size

Thank you very much. Am I correct in understanding that these ROMs will work with every new version and just need to be installed once and that's it?
I was very impressed with the Roland JP80x0 and wanted to try their synthesizers.

Yes, that's right, every time they release a new version, they simply overwrite the old version using "copy & paste"!

    - SYX (14x) 520 KB

Install the Patches (*.Mid & *. Syx)

    1. Download and Unrar
    2. There is a Folder with the Name:
    - Xenia (Waldorf Microwave XT) Soundset Pack inside are the Patches: MIDI and SYX
3.) Copy it to your Favourite HDD/SSD
    4. Load and Open the " Xenia " VSTi
    5.) Use the " Browser " Button
    6. Go to " Data Sources "
    7. Click with the right mouse button and select " Add Folders "
    8. Go to your new Patches folder " Xenia (Waldorf Microwave XT) Soundset Pack " and select MIDI and SYX
    9. All patches are now in the preset browser.

That's it ~ Have fun making music now

There can be legal complications as reasons why you have difficulty finding them. It's also common that no-one ever bothered to upload them somewhere. In the case of the Virus TI, the binary .bin files are contained within the firmware/software installer packages. Some support sites will require you to register a device with your model/serial number before you can download any software for your device. Some don't.

Those binary files are tiny, so maybe your issue is more having only free hosting to download from. Check out some info on debrid services. They can be much cheaper than premium service from RG, etc and you will get similar download speeds.

Indeed. Be sure anything you're requesting/posting here only contains free, publicly available and redistributable sound sets, preset packs, ROMs etc. Otherwise, please remove them, as we don't allow warez requests or linking at the forum. TY

I don't even use downloads from sister site. Only torrents, the one that ends with "news" and other most popular Russian. I hardly ever use file-sharing sites, except when I can't find the files I need on torrents.

Nobody really needs them. But you can load the FX version like any other effect in your Insert FX channel and then have the synth as an effect. You can also load an *.init preset and then use the effects.

I've never used a synthesizer like Rob Papen's Predator as an FX. It doesn't make sense to me.
Others might see it differently. For me, using FX synths creates a sonic mess, hence my statement.

i have used them, because offer unique FX, which others FX plugins dont have ...

Also if you dont use them, does not mean the general users wont use them ;)

I wanna try OSTIRUS Reverb. So interesting sound. Also Ostirus's delay is an option for Linux.

Yes, I believe you. Of course, I don't know what users use at home—how could I?
I simply shared my opinion and personal experience. I'm surprised by your strong reaction with the red X.
