Moody Blues singer John Lodge passed away on October 10, 2025

John Lodge is known as the singer and bassist of the prog band The Moody Blues, which he joined in 1966.

John Charles Lodge, his full name, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2018 as a member of the Moody Blues band. Before Moody Blues, John was already active as a musician and, in addition to his work with the prog rockers, also performed as a solo artist.
At the end of 2024, we reported on his single "Love Will Conquer All," which was released as the first single from his new EP.

Lodge, who also worked as a producer (including Trapeze), was one of the main songwriters in the Moody Blues and contributed to many of the band's top albums and songs.

John Lodge passed away on October 10, 2025, at the age of 82. Sudden and unexpected, according to his family.
Now he can make music again with his old bandmates Ray Thomas († 2018), Graeme Edge († 2021), Denny Lane († 2023), and Mike Pinder († 2024).

"Music is the traveler crossing our world
Meeting so many people bridging the seas
I'm just a singer in a rock and roll band.
We're just the singers in a rock and roll band
I'm just a singer in a rock and roll band..."
("I'm Just A Singer (in a Rock and Roll Band)") – The Moody Blues, 1972)
