Virtual Sound Stage 2.0 [VSS] is now legacy freeware

    VSS.png Virtual Sound Stage is an audio-plugin for spatialization of virtual instruments that was originally developed in 2014, but has been discontinued.
    Since October 2025 a rebuilt legacy version of the plug-in is available for free.

    I’ve always liked this kind of plugins, lets make here a list of other plugins that give the opportunity to position sound objects or the listener in space using a graphical interface..

    If I am not mistaken, the setup from the Tverb was used in a David Bowie Recording, right?

    Yes it's modeled after the famous Berlin Hansa Studio with Tony Vasconty innovative mic setup while recording Heroes album by Bowie with Brian Eno, Rober Fripp and Iggy Pop and others
