@David Brock thats surprising. idk, ive probably watched a good majority of horror films, theres not really anything like Get Out, especially regarding psychological horror. making other peoples trauma their trap, enough to where people try to exploit and profit from that to the point of being able to have control over you. thats like genius horror to me and very profound artistically how its expressed imo and deserves its praise

i agree with Barbarian though. glad the director got a chance to redeem his self with weapons

Zach Cregger(sp?) the writer/director was in the whitest kids you know, a sketch comedy show that was on ifc. Plenty of hilarious offensive/edgy skits from that show.

I read The long walk many many years ago.
At the time I didn't know it was King, because he used a pseudonym, Richard Bachman.

I'm curious to see if the movie will end like the original script.

I've been watching Rob Brydon's Honky Tonk Road Trip. 3 x 1 hour episodes.

Actor, comedian and lifelong music fan Rob Brydon travels through the southern states of America to mark the centenary of country music. He’s on a mission to uncover the history of the genre - where it began, how it evolved and why it’s experiencing a major resurgence, especially in the UK.
Rob heads to the beating heart of country music: Nashville. He explores iconic venues like the Ryman Auditorium, goes live on air at WSM Radio - home of the Grand Ole Opry, the world’s longest-running radio show - and meets country stars old and new, including Luke Combs, Marty Stuart, Bill Anderson and rising British talent Twinnie.

I'm not really a country fan but the series is great fun, entertaining and informative. Some good Bluegrass stuff and Rob singing at an Elvis lookalikes gig.

Kevin Spacy use to star in the very good roles back then and had a presence that deserves attention. Something happened to him suddenly and it all went down for him, not only interns of roles he got but also on the personal level.

I was not born when this flick came out but I know around that time was the golden age of hollywood. I always pay special attention to the movies of that bygone era.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention, added to watch list.

I wonder how many there have been since 1915.

I'm currently watching Eurotika! , a British TV documentary series ( 12 X 30 mn). It is about the boom of Italian, French and Spanish exploitation movies during the 1960s and 1970s. It's interesting.

Just started season 3 of Alice In Borderland. Really enjoyed the first 2 seasons and this one is looking great too. Netflix. Japanese.
    Season 3 trailer.

You need to see the first two seasons to understand what is happening.

    The SFX are amazing

I rarely see it mentioned, probably rightly so, but the concept and the twist is quite good. It almost draws parallel with the "Book of Eli" but not so much at the same time, wierd i know..
It has a bit of "They Live" in it also, sadly i cant really watch movies anymore except Lotr for some reason, i think my 3rd eye has something to do with it, but i watched this one probably last year.

I would also recommend STALKER, it is not bad at all. It inspired a game that is still formidable in FPS world.

    STALKER 8.0

Screamers is not bad at all. It is based on a Philip K. Dick short story from 1953 : Second Variety, which is dark and frightening.
Although they modified some stuff and are on a low budget, it is one of the most true to the source adaptation of a P.K.D. book I've seen. It is different but doesnt feel like a betrayal like every other one I've seen (except maybe A Scanner Darkly).

Barry Lyndon by Stanley Kubrick (1976)

I had already seen it but never was so impressed. From a cinematographic point of view, it is stunning ! Every picture, camera move,... is spot on and screams genius. The XVIIIth century described here is convincing, except maybe that everyone (including German farm girls) is a bit too fluent in English during the scenes located in continental Europe.
