At first glance, it seems much more interesting than the TR1000 just released by Roland.
It's also a $1,000 less expensive than the Roland.

Oh man, those pads look sexy. I'd like to fondle and gently caress them.

But seriously, this one looks like a winner, and I'll be on the lookout for reviews because I suddenly started feeling something in my trousers... no, not that ya perv, it's my wallet starting to feel a bit hot and making groaning sounds.

Loopop has a review up already. Looks like they've really gone the distance with the new pads (though I'd need a finger dexterity upgrade), and the clip matrix ain't half bad either, somebody has studied Ableton a lot.

I just watched AKAI official video as well as Loopop's review and it confirms what I suspected:
Way more interesting than Roland's latest for way less cash.

I have been watching videos since the dawn, on the new Mpc live III 3 live group on Facebook, all the usual MPC educator guys on there.

Most definitely especially with all the added bonuses that come along with it the MPC 3.6 desktop software is pretty much a full fledge DAW at this point

It's a win for Akai if software is ok
Much more interesting and innovative than latest Roland release

You shouldn't trust him, his at work pushing products avoids real criticism and PR-friendly.
And too annoying how he occupied YouTube review niche

Is it more powerful than that special edition mpc live 2 with the grey version and all the extra features they gave it?

Well the MPC Live and Live 2 were made on a Rockchip platform that was already obsolete and discontinued for like 5 years when the original Live came out almost 10 years ago. The MPCX and One are the same platform. The MPC Live 3's SoC has only been discontinued for a few years now but yeah it's 'more powerful' I guess.

I stopped using my OG Live like 3 years ago, it's been sitting on the floor collecting dust on that shitty rubberized coating they put all over it. Somehow I'm still on the beta testing team despite not having turned it on in ages (its phones home to let them know who's running what).

Just wondering in case like that anniversary edition or whatever it is isn’t necessary when you can just get the live 3 and all the plugins for mpc and have more room to grow
