Hi once again. The title says it all to those who know. To those who don't:
This is a NVME 750gb ssd that comes in the form of a pci-e gen 3.0 card. It will most likely be used as a system disk (c: drive).
    About the drive facts:
    1. The drives in sale are used but with 100% life and are in mint condition, guaranteed and checked by yours truly. Price is 200 euros plus posting cost. (Because i live in EU, for any US citizen, shipping cost to USA (or Canada) is no more than 20 euros give or take and there is no additional costs or import fees to pay).
    2. This ssd, although has a max speed of about 2.5 gb/sec, it has the lowest latency of all ssds even the newest ones and feels more close to ram performance than ssds (surpassed only by little by its newer sibling drive the Optane 5800X). It is by far, the most responsive and snappy drive you can ever use as an OS system disk.
2a.Fun factor about latency. If you know anything about desktop and OS usage, speed in everyday use boils down to one metric and this is the random 4K. The newest flagship of Samsung, the 9100 (pci-e gen 5.0) in random 4K Q1T1 shows about 50-180 microseconds latency. The Optane 4800X is averaging at about 10 microseconds and max is about 22.
    3. Because of its proprietary usage of 3DXpoint memory, the drive's endurance is nothing like you 've ever witnessed or heard of before if you don't know about Optane tech. The 750gb 4800X supports 30 full writes and wipes per day for 5 years or 2 mil hrs. My drives come with ~40k hrs of power on use and 100% life so you can look at a good 5-10 years of using this until you get bored of it haha. The endurance number is astronomical given the relatively small size of the drive and can never be surpassed by all other conventional ssds that use NAND Flash memory. Which in plain words means you cannot "kill" this ssd with desktop use even if you try lol.
    4. I have only 5 of these left, so those who bought from me the previous time will have priority if they want one. The drives come with short and full size case brackets so you can install this in an sff pc if you want to. The pic i posted shows the drive with the full size bracket attached.
    Cheers all.

    Absolutely fan-fucking-tastic devices.

Highly recommended for folks who need a ridiculously responsive drive. I don't have need for one personally as I don't run massive databases at home, but sure, it'd make a killer hot (as in constantly accessed) drive for anything.

You are absolutely right. In our musician/producer case here, it is for people who run big mixes full of plugs and want their system to be still as responsive as possible. Those who do run this type of workloads, surely have experienced how typical 500gb-1tb flash ssds that everyone uses as a c: drive, lose much of their performance when running big mixes but Optane will run snappy even when operating at max IOPS.
I wanted to add something that most people neglect or straight out don't know:
These Optane drives don't suffer from space restrictions. With every other ssd on the market, you are warned to always leave 20-30% empty so the controller can do the calcs and maintenace/provisioning of the drive. These operations occur all the time, as the ssd controllers constantly move data around the flash space they have available, to make sure frequently accessed data is always available as fast as possible depending on the drive. This is not the case with Optane. You can have this drive at 99% full and it will operate normally, no drawbacks of any kind or danger of losing data. Similarly to the nox-existent SLC ssds, data is written bit by bit on the drive. But is also superior to SLC drives because even those are based on Flash ram and 3DXpoint is quite faster.
Hence Intel had some really niche server oriented Optane products of non volatile ram that was quite identical to Optane ssds but came as a ram stick and could be config'd to work as ram or ssd or both in split. Corporate morons in Intel of course decided it should be Intel only compatible and they ate shit literally, because EPYC and Ryzen in general dethroned them within a year or two after their release. So although their product was groundbreaking, Intel cpus were on the out and they flopped with it.
    Cheers :)

40,000 รท 2,000,000 = 0.02 so that would be more like 98% of their lifespan left.
