So, I discovered Neverender and got amazed by the sounds and feeling from that track, but there is something that keeps haunting my dreams... THE KICK!

I searched through my extensive collection of samples and even tried to recreate it, but my abilities don't let me go beyond this

Probably it's from a vintage drum machine like a 707 or Linn Drum, but there is something different, the kick is so smooth, the top is not to much bright, and the low end is PERFECT punchy, I looked through those machines and didn't find any samples that match the original, maybe they did some processing on top to make it sound different.

I summon the all-mighty wizards of sound to help me find THE NEVERENDER KICK!

it might help to watch the MWTM tutorial MixWithTheMasters Producing Neverender by Justice ft Tame Impala TUTORIAL

If that is the wrong track, that's because you should have included a link or something to the one you are asking about.

808!!!!!???? 0_O I didn't even know it had a proper kick, haha! I thought the 'kick' was the classic 808 sound that is used on hip hop tracks. Now I need to find the matching sample from my 808 packs. THANKSSS MY FRIEND :D

If you have XLN Audio XO, you can sample the kick from the track and then put it in your sample folder, then let XO scan your sample folder, and it'll find the kicks that are most similar to it. But yea there might be processing on it, I'm not really up to speed with 808s.

The only plugin that is always active that's on that track is a Fabfilter Pro-Q3.
