    choir - omnisphere
vocals and vowels - vocaloid, alterego, chipspeech, plus a few 'precooked' vowel samples I found
'mechanized' blips, bloops, whoops, screeches, subliminal messages, flubs, robots, etc- Studio Electronics Boomstar SE80m2, Boomstar 4075m2
    303 - xABL3
percussive layer 303 - Studio Electronics Boomstar 3003m2
    Pitched 'pong' - Roland JP8080
Pitched synth percussive loop Roland JP8080
Drums and percs - misc samples

Other than some more drum variation I wasn't sure how I wanted to finish/revamp this one, so I'm posting it before I get in my way and dismantle on myself. Not that its woefully incomplete or anything... just...not quite complete... could be ... better :)

Read the prompt, eyed the picture - mind instantly flooded with the lived in worlds of Farscape or Lexx ... the sort of anachronistic places that take the cyberpunk tagline 'high tech, low life' to the absurd. Street folk cowered over a barrel fire while tech so advanced it's essentially magic even to the populace shares the space. The kind of world that seems to defy dating. Advanced now collapsed? Undeveloped world but Lt. DATA had to qo ahead and die on the planet so, whelp, welcome to the galaxy gang? Just going through another fun filled fascist time? Endless possibilities of misery expression! Ahem. Anywho. Yeah. Slightly done but could be done more, but needed to make sure at least some done was done before I might undo any done.

so for this one my first thought was: how the hell do i make robot music? im not a robot, thats like A.I. trying to generate human music from an inhuman perspective, so it needs human input to be tolerable. id much rather hear robot music thats authentic to a robot perspective; but that defeats the meaning of the word robot lol - A.I. generated music is the closest i can think of: though im not gonna sit there and write prompts for a program when i can play multiple instruments well and can have fun and make exactly what i want. i also almost never like the A.I. generated music i hear. so to intentionally make music i dont like? i couldnt ever violate like that

so i just imagined im being commissioned to make a song for a new high tech laboratory that has robot and human employees like in the pic. it would be played at multiple points throughout the work day. the A.I.image provided depicts that as very bright, with the light behind the robot having him shine and the robot arm helping the dude out. so its my laboratory music for the healthy work environment of tomorrow, was fun

drums: XLN Audio XO+ TR-606 samples, synths: Roland JUNO-106, guitar: 1970s Guild D-55 acoustic

I came across this and decided to post it as the consensus as it stands with the entries so far doesn't profer a future of warm and fuzzy but rather a time of cold sharp, pointy edges.

    Instruments and Samples:
A few samples from a very old AkAI CD-ROM called Robots & Computer. Then a self-created preset by Rob Papens - Predator VSTi. Added to that is a sample from Artvera with Wusikstation and a text editor with Balabolka, a text reader. Then there are two self-created presets from Parawave - Rapid VSTi and Spectrasonics - Omnisphere VSTi.

    My Opinion:
I suspect that robot workers will eventually become more prevalent, replacing some workers and taking some of our work off our hands. A leased robot costs €12 per hour, while an employee costs €30. Machines have always relieved us humans and made our lives easier.

@PulseWave yeah it will definitely be interesting to see what that looks like, i dont think it will be bad either. life has this quality thats so unpredictable, that i just try to focus on the present

like my uncle flew into town and was staying with me last week and we were talking about that aspect of life at on point - like in his lifespan growing up in the 80s, he and most people wouldve never guessed the world would be like it is now in many areas - even in films he watched growing up like Blade Runner, thats how they envisioned 2019 would be and we had a whole COVID-19 outbreak and global lockdown in reality lol. thats just how life is, the future is uncertain

definitely will be interesting but yeah i think we'll be alright also

@Grape Ape, my musical journey went something like this: Electricity from coal, then from oil, then from natural gas, then from solar power plants and wind turbines. With this electricity, I powered my first clock radio, my first stereo recorder (mono), my first tape deck with Dolby, my first stereo system, my first guitar amplifier and effects devices like Distortion, Phazer, and Chorus.

Then came the first PC, very expensive. Then came CD-ROMs and MP3s, then Walkmans and portable CD players, then a mouse with a ball, then a laser mouse, and then the internet with a modem. Then everything got faster: CPUs, internet speed, and RAM. Wait, now AI and robots have joined the mix...!

@PulseWave - I really like the reverb and the feeling of the snap in the drums, it almost fits to be some "game menu" music(reminded me of the Half Life 2 music), really interesting. I would consider this a template of sorts if i made it. great!

p.s. i had to swap the nick reticular, hopefully peps figured that out already:bow:
