    Hey Buddy

Have you used the Steinberg download manager to download the Cubase 14 content? Its just over 20GB

On the sister site there is a link to Cubase 12 content "Steinberg Cubase Pro 12 Content-R2R" which might help if you didnt want to install the Steinberg Manager

Well there's the Cubase sound content, but the virtual instruments (Retrologue, Padshop, Halion Sonic, Groove Agent SE) are themselves separate from that. Get them from the download manager.

i understand from your words - as aditional to the r2r 570mb release install - ver032
i will sure need the full content

and most important what i am experience here is normal for all b-cuz missing content in that release - i mean no vsti at all - but vst effects yes?

as well you note: (Retrologue, Padshop, Halion Sonic, Groove Agent SE) will not be in regular content iso - but as extras - then all other build in vstis will show with regular content installation?

    thanks for the help :)

I have the paid version, but it seems like in both (paid and cracked) cases the instruments are separate, even though the Steinberg effects plugins are included in the Cubase install.

WHAT I STILL DONT UNDERSTAND IS: ok i understand regarding the big "data" instruments you note on the list above GBs of content needed. and the installation of dos are done separate from content iso.

in the release i installed 032 r2r (on frash unused audio system - note above) there is no vsti what so ever even the light no needed content ones?

i mean there is nada regarding vsti - even when try to tag the vst2 at plugin manager don't see none - vst effect i see! but none vsti

so that's what my Q? is more about. thanks in advanced :)

Cubase Missing Plugins Tutorial [ How to Install VST Effects / Instruments ]

Cubase 12 VST3 Plugins (all 3rd party) not showing up

    Cubase/Nuendo 12/13/14 Pro (R2R/VR) (Win/MAC) workarounds, discussion, etc

I get the frustration—sounds like you're expecting some built-in VST instruments (VSTi) to show up right away in the Plugin Manager after installing the R2R-cracked Cubase 12.0.32 (which I assume is the update you're referring to, based on the release lineage), but you're only seeing VST effects and nothing on the instruments side, even after trying to rescan or tag VST2 paths. Let's break this down step-by-step and troubleshoot why that's happening, especially since you mentioned a fresh install on an unused audio system.

Quick Context on Cubase's Built-in VSTi
Cubase Pro 12 (including R2R versions) doesn't bundle a ton of "plug-and-play" VSTi executables like some DAWs do—most of its instruments are lightweight samplers or MIDI processors that rely on separate content libraries (those .vstsound or ISO files you mentioned). Here's what should be there by default or with minimal setup:

    • Groove Agent SE (drum sampler)—lightweight, no big content needed for basic use.
    • HALion Sonic SE (multi-timbral instrument)—also lightweight, but shines with libraries.
    • Sampler Track (simple sampler)—built-in, no extras required.
    • A few others like LoopMash or MIDI effects, but they're not full VSTi.
These aren't massive "data" instruments like full HALion or Groove Agent full editions (which do need GBs of samples). If even these aren't appearing, it's likely a scanning, path, or content issue rather than the crack itself missing files. R2R releases typically include the core app with these stubs intact; the "nada" you're seeing points to a setup hiccup.

Effects showing up but not instruments is a classic symptom—effects (like reverbs or EQs) are often pure code with no external dependencies, while VSTi can get flagged if paths or libraries are off.

Why No VSTi Showing in Plugin Manager?
Based on common issues with Cubase 12 installs (cracked or legit), here's what's probably going on:

    1. Content Libraries Not Installed/Registered: Even light VSTi like HALion Sonic SE and Groove Agent SE need their base .vstsound files installed via Steinberg Library Manager (or manually in cracks). Without them:
      • The plugins load but show as "empty" or don't appear in the list.
      • You'll get popups like "[Library] not found" on launch.
      • In R2R, the core ISO has placeholders, but you need to grab the content packs separately (often from the same torrent or mirrors). If you skipped that, instruments vanish.
    2. VST Paths Not Scanned Properly: You mentioned trying to "tag the VST2" in Plugin Manager—that's a good start, but it might not have fully rescanned. Cubase defaults to VST3 now, and VST2 (common for older/light instruments) needs explicit enabling.
    3. Crack-Specific Glitches: R2R's emulator (Silk) can sometimes mess with plugin discovery if the root certificate isn't trusted or if there's a Windows security block. Also, if you're on a fresh system, missing redistributables (like Visual C++) can prevent VSTi DLLs from loading.
    4. Version Quirks: 12.0.32 is a patch—ensure it's applied on top of the base 12.0.20 or whatever R2R's core was. Partial updates can break plugin lists.
How to Fix It: Step-by-Step Troubleshooting
Let's get those VSTi visible. Do this in order—start simple, no need to reinstall yet.

    1. Rescan Plugin Manager Thoroughly:
      • Open Cubase > Studio > VST Plug-in Manager.
      • Under "VST Instruments," click the rescan button (or "Refresh" if it's there).
      • If nothing: Go to the "Folders" tab > Add/verify paths for VST2 and VST3.
        • Default Windows paths:
          • VST2: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST2 (instruments go here as .dll files).
          • VST3: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3.
          • Also check C:\Program Files\Steinberg\VSTInstruments (internal ones).
      • Blacklist check: In the list, look for any "failed" or blacklisted entries (red icons)—right-click > "Remove from Blacklist."
      • Restart Cubase after scanning. Test by adding a new Instrument Track (Project > Add Track > Instrument) and see if HALion Sonic SE or Groove Agent SE appears in the preset browser.
    2. Install/Register Base Content Libraries:
      • This is likely your main culprit for "light no needed content ones" missing.
      • Download the Cubase 12 content ISOs if you don't have them (search for "Cubase 12 VST Sound Content ISO"—R2R users often share them on forums like AudioSEX or rutracker).
      • Key light libraries to install first:
        • HALion Sonic SE.vstsound (~500MB, basic sounds).
        • Groove Agent SE.vstsound (~1GB, starter drums).
        • Mount/extract the ISO > Run Steinberg Library Manager (it should pop up) > Install to default path (usually C:\Users\[YourName]\Documents\Steinberg\Content).
      • If no Library Manager (common in cracks): Double-click the .vstsound files directly—they'll register.
      • After install, relaunch Cubase > Rescan in Plugin Manager. Instruments should populate with presets.
    3. Verify Crack/Emulator Setup (R2R-Specific):
      • Run the R2R activator as admin again: R2R Steinberg Activator.exe.
      • Install/reinstall the root cert: Double-click R2RCA.cer > Install to "Trusted Root Certification Authorities."
      • Ensure Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable (x64) is installed (grab from Microsoft site—R2R NFO usually reminds this).
      • Reboot, then test. If still nada, check Windows Event Viewer (search for it) for DLL load errors related to Steinberg.
    4. Test in a New Project:
      • Create a blank project > Add Instrument Track > In the inspector, click the instrument slot > Look under "Steinberg" or "Installed" for VSTi.
      • If effects work but instruments don't, try loading a default template (File > New Project > Empty > but select one with instruments like "Empty (with Groove Agent)").
    If That Doesn't Work
    • Forum Dive: Head to AudioSEX.pro (search "Cubase 12 R2R VSTi missing")—tons of threads on this exact issue. Users report content install fixes 90% of cases.
    • Reinstall Targeted: Uninstall just the content via Library Manager, then reinstall. Avoid full wipe unless needed.
    • System Check: Ensure ASIO driver is set (Studio > Studio Setup > Audio System)—you mentioned "frash unused audio system," so if it's MME/DirectX fallback, switch to ASIO4ALL or your interface for stability.
Once you get those base VSTi like HALion SE showing (even empty), you can layer on bigger content later. Hit me back with what happens after rescanning/content install— we can narrow it further. You'll be triggering notes in no time!

That is just the way it is since cubase 12, no vsti in the main installer, all the fx are included. Same for legit and R2R.Today cubase does not have to many VSTi's. Padshop, retrologue, halion sonic and groove agent. They are all separate installers which makes independent updating easier. (for example, cubase can go withouth update for4 months and halion sonic gets 2 in the same period).
