Your mixes will absolutely get better using UA plugins. You will know that you are using plugins that have been used at the highest levels of mixing and have been used on countless tracks and albums. So what that means is you will actually practice mixing instead of constantly downloading more plugins to learn and hope they are as good as UA, spending time comparing stuff in Plugin Doctor, and asking on here how to reinstall the next problem release of Waves again. etc. etc.

That's because most people do not need better plugins. They need more practice.

You can convince yourself endlessly, but no professional tools will give you the skills and confidence. (full LS, Schwabe, FULL UAD, Sonnox, Process audio, Reverb Foundry, VSL Mir and Synchro, Soundradix, 90% Softube, Mixwave, Synchroarts, Oek, Slate, Uvi, Antares. I have literally ALL the products from each company, and it's only on ilok) I have everything people expect, including all of Cedar. I don't expect any P2P plugins, but contrary to what you're saying, I sometimes share my license what I have over the cloud so my friend can at least mix something properly. He uses the entire arsenal of the best and most expensive plugins on the market. This has never helped him mix a track more than an amateur.
He has your approach. Now he waits for a new plugin every month, thinking it will make him better, because the arsenal I sometimes share with him doesn't help make his tracks better.
P.S. The person doesn't want to learn, he thinks plugins will do everything for him.

I don’t want it to be Universal Audio, as it seems too banal and boring to me, but what will the elitists then say to users who were previously looked down upon? The Internet will instantly lose so many controversies.

My approach? lol. Normally my approach to someone trying to BS me would be to just wait until you post a screenshot of your iLok manager before putting you on ignore. But in this case, someone who calls R2R a P2P group? How disrespectful, gone. I'm not waiting for R2R to release anything, because they don't really do all that many Mac releases which are going to need some dll files.

    Btw: that username really sucks.

I gotta agree with this guy. Also, I started using UA plugins and my mixes sounded so much better. It was the secret sauce that I've heard in mixes my whole life. UA has the original hardware schematics for some of the most used audio processors in Hollywood history, so there's no guesswork in the emulated version of these. I used CLA76 for a decade and a half, then switched to the UA 1176 and WOW. If you can't hear the difference, you might be deaf, or bad at mixing.

I don't really think any plugins make your mix sound better, but the power of believing something can definitely does. UA plugins are nothing special. They are still algorithms just like any other. Anybody with an 1176 has the original hardware schematic, assuming they know how to trace a circuit board, which is pretty easy.

If it's VSL, I will have to buy a new 2 TB drive.

Not a big one compared to VSL but how about Pianoteq?

From the various videos I have seen of them, they are all over the place. You could elaborate if you have a point to make here.

I'd love to see UAD pirated, just because their marketing implies their plugins will unlock your mixing chakras and your mixes will be better, based on you using their product.

Just like "eat what you want and lose weight".

I find their spark subscription pretty useless. Everything emulation, like it's 1973.
Using a vintage interface with a mouse in 2025 is like Toyota or Mercedes or whatever were to put drum brakes in their new vehicles.

You mean like reading an nfo file? If r2r were to release UAD, what does the last riddle line mean about saving money to buy additional "balls"?
There would not be anything additional to buy. It's pretty amusing though to see people playing the "that's not good enough for me" card about stuff that hasn't even been released. But then again, on the internet, no plugins are ever good enough for the people who don’t have them.

I must be missing something here.

I hope it's VSL and not UAD as i already have all of the Native UAD plugins. But it seems obvious it's UAD there is no other 'legendary monster which never showed up before' and if you like them or not, UAD is the biggest monster of them all

Maybe the individual mono and stereo versions in your DAW plugin manager?

The funny thing about the people who analog emulations are not good enough for, is that the Team whose releases are the subject of the thread; just released about 50 analog emulation plugins to follow up the .dll files with. In the space of 1 day.

I meant about the price. Everybody banging on about how expensive they are or were you being ironic?

I'd love to see updated Soundtoys and Sonnox plug-ins, although I assume .nfo wasn't referring to those ones.
UAD would be fun to see released just for poetic justice in this corporate driven world, if nothing else.

Ironic about the Waves CLA, because Waves will list every plugin 2 times.

Sonnox and Soundtoys do not have an annoying additional "Plugin Manager" application like UA, or Softube. If such an app was the reason for the dll files.
