Hi all. I have just finished an album and am looking for some feedback. It's an EDM Concept album about a Journey on the Dancefloor in the year 3030.

I've imagined it like a 'Dancefloor Journey': from the moment they enter the club until the party ends, imagining they'll also fly to some nearby planets and moons to dance until the moment the DJ (will there still be one?) leaves, and two lovers talk to each other during and at the end of the Cosmic party.

Dude this album is incredible! You're hella talented!

 

let me start by saying that i'm not a big fan of edm. but i like the concept and it is clear that you have talent. i don't feel qualified to comment on the mix, but i enjoyed several of the tracks, particularly the ones with vocals, but even some of the instrumentals held my interest because you made good use of dynamics. overall, i give you kudos for an engaging production.

Wether you like this kind of music or not, it should still be obvious to anyone on here the amount of work actually making tracks such as these would be.

To then upload them to Soundcloud, garnering 1 whole "like"; and never doing anything with them beyond that? You do not need an "AI Detector" program for this one; although someone should make one anyway. It's not even worth mentioning it, because this is far from the only "check this mix" post of AI junk on here. ;)

Even the description written is not that of someone who actually did the work. That same description 5 years ago would have been about music written by someone with ghost producers. It is nothing but time-wasting spam from lame alias accounts like they are being backstoried by Foster for later use. Look at sock puppet account #2 in the thread. Of all the threads on Audiosex which finally got this person to create a user account, this one just happened to dig up this "album" no-one else even clicked on to bump the thread. It's more transparent than some of the plugin sales scam threads.

I don't know much about AI generated music..
BUT... IMHO there is something fishy going on in the airband on all those tracks. Its hard to describe.
It's 'My aphex aural exciter had a love-child with lossy compression' if you get what I mean.
It could be a mixing issue though.
I wish it was OPs music, I like it.

 

It sounds too silky because of too much compression and too much >10kHz.

 

I mean there's even a track with AI in its name. Not that it means anything...

Anyway, this is absolutely horrendous shit. Could work in third world country tiktok memes.

 

lol. now i am embarrassed that i said anything encouraging to the poster. if you're all correct and this is ai-generated, i'm very sad. i really only liked the tracks with vocals, but i guess those can be ai generated now too. anyway, i'm a progressive rock fan and i never listen to this kind of music. but it sounded better than half the stuff i hear on the radio these days.

 

Maybe this is what happens when you try to take a 128 kbps .mp3 file exported by Suno for free users and try to use an expander on it, or software such as that discussed in the "de-lossify" thread. Someone might try throwing an air-band eq, Ozone, Thimeo, etc. on the mp3 and this is the Frankenfile they ended up with.

I can't speak for anyone else, but if I posted ~8 or 10 tracks and got 0 replies to it, I'd bump the thread and maybe even ask why people didn't even say the tracks suck. The Soundcloud page did not even get enough activity for SC's bots to "like" it and try to sell it a pro plan.

 

Don't beat yourself up about it! You are unfamiliar with the genre, honest mistake, and super cool of you to comment and engage with "the artist", especially considering you don't even listen to EDM.

The vocals are what first clued me in to the fact it was AI, listened to 20 seconds or so of the rest of the songs and confirmed my suspicions. You can generate the entire song in one go. Not just the vocals, but the entire song. If you know what you are after, and how to navigate prompting it, you could in theory go from nothing to complete song in 1 or 2 minutes.
