Sonnet to Hermeto (the Wizard of Sounds)

“In chaos of the woods, sound turns to spell,
Hermeto breathes in life to every tone,
From pig to piano, all things serve him well,
Within the mage's hand, all turns to sound.

An albino sun that shines without a warning,
He blends the sky, the clay, the blazing light,
Re-creates the world in rhythms concise and burning,
And turns absurdity to song so bright.

There is no frontier, rule, or written measure,
That can contain the flight of such a treasure,
His gift is boundless, vast, and without peer.

And when all time has hushed the world's own voice,
Hermeto plays the cosmos' deepest choice —
And sound replies: "I am universal here.'”
