So does that mean I can say, drag all the NCW samples from a library like Noire, then save the .nki? Would that fix the missing samples popup? I feel like I’d want to either do this method with libraries that only have one.nki or just load the library and save the new version of the .nki I loaded.

 

Could you please send a link with a few files that cause the error ?
Have you tried with another version of kontakt ?
Besides, the ncw file should open in an empy instrument, not in Leap, your setup is not the basic one.

No, dealing with mutliples ncw files in Kontakt is a pain and will not fix any missing samples message.
What you have to do is to resave the patch with a Kontakt version older than 6.1 or open the patch in a newer version, edit the patch, remove all zones with missing samples and then save the patch.

 

What I do to get the samples to work is click to browse for samples in a folder, then go to the library’s samples folder, it’ll recognize the ncw or nkx files inside, can I then resave that instrument in Kontakt 8 to have it not forget where the samples are again upon reloading?

 

Yes, and if it keeps asking for missing samples next time despite you resaved the instrument, it is probably because you stripped some files, ie by removing a microphone position.
In that cas, you can remove zones with missing samples as I stated before, and then save the instrument and you won't be bothered again.

 

OK,I try vkDanirove Ver 8.6.0 and another KONTAKT6.6.0 in empty instrument (Maybe) , But Same error happened.

I have not deleted any samples, I simply convert them and I’m afraid if I delete the zones it’d mess up the library, and even with a library with wavs converted to ncw automatically it still sees the samples inside

 

These files are not NCW, headers are totally different, like encrypted files.
What did you use to extract NKX? Lite_Converter ? If so, did you try to extract with DoubleCommander ? (see first post if you need it)
I guess omething gone wrong during the process.

I you didn't strip anything, then the samples are not exactly at the same place comparing to the original library. This is frequent when packing folders to NKX or if you extracted NKX and keep NCW files after conversion.
Solution : You just have to browse your computer to load the samples when asked and once loaded, go to file / save and replace your instrument (or test with another name if you want). On recents libraries that need >6.10 version of Kontakt, you have to do it for each instrument, and for some libraries this could be a real pain when there are dozens of patches...

 

Thank you for your efforts. I extracted it using Liteconverter and Double Commander from your first post. I did it while looking at the Rollerball PDF, so the method should be correct. (inNKX is included, of course.)

Just occurred to me—if the Library was cr***ed, does inNKX pretend to be able to extract data and
LiteConverter itself wasn't throwing any errors, even if the SNPIDs are different?

It really is weird. I've never heard of that.
I don't think is gonna work seeing your video, but perhaps I'll try to rename the partition name to English characters. But like I said, it's almost sure it won't fix it.

Didn't give me any errors. I haven't tried every file but should be ok, I can do it for you and send you by PM the wav files

Unfortunately no, you can't. This quick drag and drop method has a limit of 70 samples give or take. Only works for converting a small bunch of samples.

You can but I wouldn't recommend it as if an error occures it will stop process and it may be difficult to know at which step it failed.
Once I did it with several small libraries, it worked as the script just process files without examining the library structure, but be aware of the previously stated limitation.

I own some libraries that are in wav format, some in NKX and some in NCW... does the converter account for all of those?
what do you mean by "it doesnt pack NKX after conversion"? Is this a necessary step to get the library to work after conversion?

Converting my libs to 16bit to save space and load times is an interesting project...

Hi, yes latest Lite converter will convert all files, even if a library combines wav and ncw files, packed in NKX containers or not.
After conversion, the script always compress files into NCW to gain some space without loss, but does not handle putting those ncw files into nkx containers.
NKX containers are useful as you can have all samples in a few files instead of having thousands files, but you can of course use a library whitout packing your samples into NKX, you will have to set path when asked for samples, and resave patch if you don't want to be annoyed later.
If you want to pack afterwards, you can use Doublecommander for it.

I just checked, all links are up except katfile for the script, you can use any link without subscription, this is a small file it will be fast even is "slow download" mode.
