hello community, i know that this topic has been discussed several times before. but unfortunately this problem occurs again and again with some people. probably because data is not uninstalled correctly during uninstallation and reinstallation. who knows what to do?

Step 1: ableton was completely uninstalled using ccleaner.

Step 2: the following files were deleted


c\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Ableton\

c\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Ableton\

c\ProgramData\Ableton\

Step 3: The following keys were removed from the registry

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Ableton\

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \Software\Ableton\

Step 4:

Ableton was successfully installed after restart. Ableton opened, the hardware ID noted and program closed again. The .EXE file was successfully patched to the Audiowares patcher using drag and drop. Successfully converted the hardware ID into a license using Keygen. So all steps done according to the instructions. Result: Despite the correct procedure, Ableton 12 is still not registered and is in trial mode. where is the error?

 

Did you have any luck with this? I've been trying to install Live 12 from sister site on a windows machine that previously had Live 10. I completely uninstalled 10 (or at least I thought I did), and follow the installation instructions for 12 and I can't even get it to launch at all.

 

12.2.5 working fine here on win 10 22h2.
seems you have searched in the 3 mostly used folders and in the right registerkeys when it comes to deleting manualy.
i dont know ccleaner..try revo uninstaller..it will search for almost all ableton related installs

 

Your OS? Ableton 12 only works in Win 10 upwards. On my machine, which was Win 8.1, the only 12 version that would work was 12.1. All others failed to launch.
