again, new fun stuff to fix. I don't know why I'm getting this "plugin missing", when the plugin is properly installed and working (checked on cantabile). VST2 and VST3, both x64.

Installation

Windows
Requirements:
- 64 bit sequencer software (VST 2.4, VST3 or AAX compatible)
- Windows 7 or newer

Installation:
- Download the file install_TAL-J-8.zip and unzip it.
- You can copy the plug-ins manually to your hosts VST directory or the VST3
version into the VST3 directory. The zip file contains all plug-ins. Our plug-ins do not require the installer.

VST3 Directory:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
AAX Directory:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins

Uninstall:
Just delete the plug-in file to uninstall it.

In hosts like Cubase, the plug-in may require a computer restart to appear in
the host. Some hosts may also need a plug-in rescan.

If you use Ableton Live and the plug-in does not show up after a VST plug-in
rescan, try to disable and re-enable VST plug-in support

It's probably seeking for particular version of the plugin, I had few cases like this.

 

That was the solution, in the end, I could find the right version for the project... What a pa*n in the *ss...

 

Yeah, but it doesn't happen a lot, probably developers changing ID or something with newer version of plugin. I have projects from Bitwig 1+ made on Windows that open perfectly in Bitwig 5 on macOS.

 

Yeah... I'm just hoping it won't happen again. I've spent a whole month moving all my station from a desktop pc to a laptop. After doing it all with the first laptop, I discovered the sound of it was crap. Then, I had to move to another one, Which had an acceptable sound on my monitor headphones. So after all the work, I'm exhausted. Just cross my fingers to stay fine.
