How do you guys manage disk space?

    Angela my IT person says that size doesn't matter but rather the spin of my drive.

    Kontakt can be nice with putting your own field recordings, samples in it.

    I also avoid Kontakt libraries, but i do have a few saved, which i really love and which are also small enough and old enough to still.

    Opus2 and Opus1
    Alicia Keys
    EW RA

    Otherwise like mentioned already, Omnisphere with its satelites, works well for me.

    But man the size your can kill with Kontakt Libraries, EZ Drummer stuff, its crazy.

    Some of them even sell their completely oversized versions on SSDs. I think they do it intentionally; they want to be the best. It reminds me of SUVs, which are wider and larger than normal vehicles. When I first downloaded Omnisphere, it took three days to download. I had to buy and burn dual-layer DVDs, and then spend several hours installing it all afternoon.

    User-friendly or in the best interests of the users? None! But it was good copy protection back then. The real revolution or evolution is Team R2R, Team Air, and all the others...! Oh, and that's still missing: you had to buy more and larger hard drives.
