Totally. No (cell) phone zone with me as well. Only land line. For some garbage that absolutely flat-out requires a mobile sms endpoint I snagged a POS 4g device from trakfone that has a REMOVEABLE BATTERY. Paid cash for the device and always for the pin cards so no CC trail. All updating and location tracking turned OFF, cameras/mic's are physically blocked, and it's never connected to my local wifi or domain network. It only ever gets turned on in case of an SMS moment and then it's immediately turned OFF, the battery pulled and back to it's shelf it goes. It's perma-home is inside a x-ray proof case that shields it from any sort of electro-magnetic signal. Never carry the thing anywhere... Needless to say I have no want or need to subject myself to a 24/7 low jack.

I often heard about this. Has this ever been proven to be true or is this more anecdotale than evidential?

 

I’d recommend the Nothing Phone (2a). It gives excellent overall value around $400 with solid build quality, smooth performance, and a clean, user-friendly software experience.
