    Hi folks,

this is a funny issue I ran across recently?

UVR5 no matter which algorithms are chosen, isn't able to remove vocals without removing also saxophone (on examples like Mr. Saxobeat or Destination Calabria)

any ideas or tips for local AI tools that could manage?
    :chilling:

@curtified Is it only for melodic stuff or is it capable of rhythmic stuff too?

As a former alto and baritone saxophone player, being in the key of E♭. My question is, if a soprano, alto, tenor and baritone saxomofones playing a sustained concert C, is AI able to discern and extract each one?

I dobut it, at least not at this time, but we can check next week. However, back to the OP's concern, today I used Moises and it could effectively separate a sax part from a vocal part that UVR had failed miserably to do in the past. Just a heads up.

old thread but just seen it now. have you tried the pitch up / pitch down option?

open main settings, open advanced settings menu, choose advanced mdx (i do hope you've used an mdx model) settings, there you see the 'shift conversion pitch' option.

also, maybe get ya hands on the latest mdx mel/bs rofo models!

here's a google sheet to get started with checking out which models do best on what task:

again, check the google sheet. you'll be able to figure out what online sites do best for which task.
like dango.ai is atm the best to seperate acoustic / electric quitar out of songs.

uvr5 does have a beta model, 6stem seperator bs rofo model. it does a decent job.

alot of very good vocal seperation models. like unwakim rofo or becruilys rofo.

you could actually hand over 1 moth of pro plan sub. just so i can fully test how good suno really is.
it's a pain in the ass paying, if you ain't having a freaking creditcard. :(

Their "free" concept is really annoying indeed with hour-long cues, and stuff like that. No workaround about it, right? Well except pay. I'd honestly pay gladly, but the credit system is a way to squeeze you out. If it were a plain, flat-rate subscription, I'd go for it. mvsep is great.

I know we get "free" things from sister site all the time so thinking about paying for the compute, developers, time, tech is a lot to wrap our heads around. But take into account opportunity cost for you. 10 bucks is 2 beers/coffies or even one beer depending on where you are going. Dont drink them for one month and give it a try and support all the humans and cost that goes into a product.

Even if u get a few useable stems, midi, song ideas out of it I would say thats worth a few bucks.

I've been subscribed to Suno before, and it was worth the 30 bucks a month that I paid for a few months. Now that technology keeps moving forward, I'm getting interested in the new features, like stem separation, creation of specific parts, etc. The only problem when I was subscribed was the quality of the generated audio. It was less than ideal, so I basically used it for inspiration and idea drafting. At the end, I had to redo the whole thing myself to be client-ready. I wish I could try those features cost-free to see how the audio quality fares now, but I know companies don't want to go into that rabbithole anymore. I keep staring at the "subscribe" button.

    nah.. you misunderstood. i can't pay eventhough i'd like to. i don't own a creditcard, so i can't buy a sub. :(

suno only accepts creditcards and such. no sepa, no other cards. NO PAYPAL ..

aww bummer. I think gift cards work with stripe. Stripe can take cash app, and bank account linking too, as well as google pay depending how you set that up.
