Everything was working fine with Kontakt 7. Decided to try the latest Kontakt 8, because of few libraries that don't work in 7.

Now most of my custom installed (.nicnt and KLU 2.4.0) libraries don't show the thumbnail. Some also display the full long folder name as their display name, which is definitely not nice.

This happens annoyingly also in Maschine (3) and Komplete Kontrol. Weirdly, some (like the ones shown below) do work?

The libraries itself do work and the patches all load using Kontakt 8, but the OCD in me can't handle if I can't get the artwork back  Kontrol MK3 also shows the large graphics on screen, so it definitely finds the images inside NI Resources / Image.

    Mac, latest Sequoia.

    Product X Library (no good)
    Product X (good)

the custom install seems wrong, using a content folder name instead of the product name only.

I think what Bob is saying is unless your library is called, for instance, "Feel It Library" everywhere, it won't work
From the nicnt till the folders, like this

    "NI Resources/image/Feel It Library"

The fact that Kontrol can find them and Kontakt not is indeed puzzling. They do use different images, I think.

Where are they located, do you know? And also - some of these came with NI installers, and were installed like that ”XXX Library” - and that did work in K7…

I actually found the first one before, it didn't help (some others in the thread with similar issue too). The second one is for Windows only.

BUT yes there is also another duplicate folder for Kontakt images, PAResources. On a Mac it's under Library › Application Support › Native Instruments. But some of the images are in there, yet they don't show... And also why is Kontrol finding the image, but Kontakt is not...

Ok there is indeed something weird going on with the product names.

I have installed many custom libraries into Maschine, so I know the basics - the name has to match the JSON entries and folder names inside NI Resources.

Despite now changing the installation directory name to the same one as the image and database entries, deleting JSON files from the installed_products folder, and reinstalling via KLU, it's still showing the (wrong) product name for these. Like, for instance "Product Library" when it indeed should be just "Product". I can see this when I click the info tab in Kontakt, on a patch.

Any idea where these are still coming from? I also tried trashing the komplete.db3 database from inside the Kontakt 8 folder, but nothing works.
