You can get those easily with a Tidal account and tidal-dl-ng. That's how I've been keeping part of my music collection for a few years now.

Is it free to download? If not, are you capturing audio on your computer? Hi Res files?

It is a free, legit tool. It gets the files from Tidal itself, no recording or anything that would affect the quality of the files. What is on Tidal is what you get from it.

lucida.to. Put the media link in and off it goes. No install, and it downloads directly from the service to their server first, then to you; but it is nearly instant anyway and you aren't touching some services servers, except to go look up the links. It acts like a proxy server. Uncheck use pixeldrain or you will have a second link to click. It can error but it will work often enough. Services try to block it probably all day.

I do not own a Mac so I can't give you exact directions, but look into how to install Python and pip (Python usually comes with pip in Windows and Linux, so you might only need to install Python). After that, run the following command in the terminal: pip install tidal-dl-ng

    After that, run the commands:
tidal-dl-ng --help (should display a text with the available commands)
tidal-dl-ng login (should give you a link to allow the app to access your account)
tidal-dl-ng dl link-to-the-album-or-song (should download the files)

Check this section for more info: https://github.com/exislow/tidal-dl-ng/?tab=readme-ov-file#️-usage

At the end of this section, there is a link that will let you skip all of this and use a GUI version, but I can't tell you how reliable it is. I only use the command line over here.

You can find quite a bit on some of the major torrent sites
Just search the band name and 24bit or 48bit or 96k
Also try searching pmedia, they release quite a bit of flac stuff, the only problem is they add their name all over the tags

Thank you all for the help and suggestions. Here is what works for me . . . maybe it will work for you!

    1. Get a free one-month subscription for Tidal. You will need to enter credit card info for the renewal, that you can cancel later on. Download the Tidal app. Don't use this from the website. The app gets you access to the High Res files. Go to Profile/Settings and be sure to select High Resolution. Do a Search. Click on album or song and look for it to indicate MAX. Most will say HI, which is CD quality or Low, which is MP3 quality. Share/copy the link.
    2. Sign up for lucida.to and paste the Tidal link and off you go!

Just for the heck of it I tried lucida with no memeberships and it downloaded a flac of a Beastie Boys song. Kind of slow but would be worth it getting single songs.

It's very fast when you figure it out a little more. The main, biggest, option on there to slow it down is to have it convert your files to a specific format. If you leave it as "highest quality", that means it is going to rip it as the highest quality available from the platform without any file conversion. Converting an audio file to a "less lossy" or "higher resolution" file to anything higher than the original highest will not result in any gains. It's just a different format. Like converting an mp3 to wave file will not give better sound just by simple conversion.

The other option that slows it down is to have the file sent to pixeldrain. Uncheck that also.

Those two simple options make it much faster. You can download albums but it is just a little bit dicey, depending on what platform it is being ripped from.

I still just get full albums off the torrent sites.
Amazing some of the 70's music I was able to find on the Ru track
Just go to duckduckgo and search band name and ru tracker.
Most are flac cd rips or mp3 320.
